Hello John, nice to finally meet the man behind the camera. Your Thanksgiving day dinner looks great. I am sorry about the loss of your brother. The loss of a loved one is always more difficult during the holidays. My mom always called me on the first day it snow ❄️, she always said the exact same thing “Do you see what’s doing out there?”. She’s been gone over 12 years now and I still miss that phone call. Look forward to your next video.

Thank you for measuring your shelves! It gave me something to add to my HR in-depth review I’m working on. You are correct, the new models wouldn’t hold those trays. You measured “just over an inch and a half” and ya know what, the new “Pro” model’s shelf is exactly 1 1/2 inches. A full 1/2 inch less space per shelf. Great idea on the TV dinner! As another someone commented, you’d have to freeze-dry everything separately, powder the items that needed to be, then add to the dinner tray. The half second I heard of your phone’s ring tone got me humming the theme from the Rockford Files. Is that what I heard or did I imagine it? I completely forgot about the gravy! When you asked if I could guess what was next I thought “cranberry sauce?” then I changed to “apple pie? because pecan pie probably wouldn’t freeze dry,” but you got me with the gravy. When you put the turkey in the empty tray I didn’t catch that it was an empty one! I’m getting lost in your narrative, and aren’t seeing the mistakes… I WAS yelling at the screen about the towelette at the end. I TRIED to remind you😉! Ya got it in there though (you have shown us how to hydrate them once before, but it’s always good to see it again). You look great clean shaven. Just before clicking on the thumbnail, I was like “who’s that?” The last time we saw you, there was a full beard. I’ll call off the supermodels, you don’t need them. I’ll be sure to credit you when I finish my review! MisterE.Reviews.Stuff (or maybe it’s MysterE.Reviews.Stuff, my channel isn’t live yet). The latter is my email account though.

Love this idea! 🙌😍 And the packaging is terrific! You are very creative. Yes, I feel like that's one of the best benefits of freeze-drying... you can still cook up a big meal, but then portion it out for the freeze dryer and enjoy it MUCH later. No matter how good the meal is, I prefer NOT to eat leftovers day after day after day or have them take up too much freezer space. 😝 So sorry to hear of your loss. May the happy memories continue to put a smile on your face (which is very nice to see on camera) in the days ahead. 🌞 Thanks so much for sharing these ideas with us. 😊👍

Hey John, nice to see the face behind the voice. Love your idea. When I do sweet potatoes in chunks, I go through and slice them into smaller bits. it is a messy tedious job but they turn out delicious, I have yet to rehydrate them. they are so good and sweet like that I eat them like chips. I like the idea of the blender. I usually mash my potatoes up when I make a casserole and I have some Ieft I am going to freeze dry. your tip on watering them down will greatly help. Sorry about your brother, I remember when you posted he had passed away. This time of year is always rough, when you have loved ones gone. Blessings to you and keep on with the good ideas.

We've got about 9 lbs of turkey with gravy in the freeze dryer now. Picked up 2 turkeys on clearance for 34 cents per pound. We liked the idea of the complete dinner in a tray. My thought was to freeze dry everything separately and then put it in the trays. Bush's baked beans on the list next. Thanks for another great video.

Hey John great video as always! It was good to see “You”!! I had a suggestion for you on the height issue in the pro models. I have both units and the height becomes an issue at times. I have found with the pro models when using silicone molds or even the trays like you were using, eliminate the harvest right tray and it will give you more room in the tray tower. It does make it more challenging to get them out but most of us have something we use to clean the tower like a grabber tool. This will help to get out your trays. Thought I would share! Thanks again for all the helpful content! Appreciate all you do on your channel.

Thank you for another cool video. First I want to offer my condolences for the loss of your brother. Here in Louisiana we like our gumbos. Traditional gumbos use a roux that is half flour and half oil. Well I came across Kary’s Dry Roux powder that is fat free. I made a gumbo using this and it was really good. I think I have found a solution to having freeze dried gumbo. I didn’t know if you liked gumbo, there are so many recipes but you seem to be adventurous.

Hi. I have an idea for the sweet potatoes and maybe even the mashed potatoes. What if you freeze dry them like you normally would, powder them, then put the powdered product into the compartments? Just a thought. Thanks for sharing - it's a good idea to work on. :) As always, love your videos and it is good to see the face to go with that voice. ;)
