Whole wheat bread made using only whole wheat flour.
Follow the recipe to make bread at home.
Adding egg is purely optional.
Follow the same recipe without egg to make eggless whole wheat bread.
Tips to get perfect and soft bread:
1. Kneading the bread for 10 minutes gives a soft bread like commercial breads. Dont skip kneading.
2. Use good yeast to rise up.
3. 1st proofing should be done until the dough rises up .
If the place is cold, keep it inside oven .
4. 2nd proofing should be done when the dough rises nearly to the bread tin.
5. There is a chance of bread top getting more brown soon when baking.In that case, cover it with a aluminium foil and cook till the mentioned time.
6. Once the loaf is taken from the oven, immediately apply butter to the bread and leave it to cool slightly.
7. After 10 minutes, demould the loaf from the tin and place it on a wire rack and cover with a cloth. If not removed from tin ,the base of the bread will leave out water and turns soggy.
8. Slice only when the bread cools completely.

My sister and I both tried this recipe and it came out very well. We always found recipes which mixed maida with Wheat flour but this one is 100% WWF. I found that I had to use nearly 4 cups of flour after adding milk and yeast mix. The dough was too soft and sticky, and was nit kneadable. But it came out well in the end. My sister tried a variation using your recipe and may be it is of interest to you. Instead of milk she added equal quantity of banana purée and resulting banana bread was very tasty. She is not comfortable writing on KZbin etc so asked to share this. Thank you for this recipe. It is keepsake.

Thanks for watching and writing back to me..glad it turned out well..love the variation..will try that too..if the dough is so sticky you can just dust the flour to knead..if the dough is so soft the end result will be too good..

@RevsKitchen Thanks for the video. Great effort. When baking, do I have to cook from both ends i.e. should I turn on both the top & bottom rods, you know, to brown the top part of the bread?

I made it, but one cup milk was enough, not used water, and I used ration atta powder. It comes perfect

Does this make good toast? My atta bread also becomes very soft. But the slices when put in toaster do not toast well. They remain slightly soft unlike shop bread.

Yes its soft too.. and it toast well too.. It's not at all like shop Bread.. way better than it..

Can you tell me the shelf life of this bread ? Do we have to store this in refrigerator??

You can store it in air tight box and have it the next day. Shelf life is 3 days from the time you made. Stays good at room temperature for a day.. Then after store it in refrigerator.
