I enjoy your builds and videos Izzy. This is one I will use. I'm in the process of building a new workbench with a 3-inch thick oak top that will have 3/4 inch dog holes. Now I know what kind of clamps to use. Thank you.

Great video. As someone really just starting to build out my garage shop the one thing that I really want to have but find to be incredibly expensive for reasons I just can't figure out are clamps. Clamps are so expensive so I don't have many and the ones I do have are the cheapest I can find. Your videos like this and the use of wedges have helped reduce cost a ton. Thanks!

Brilliant job on creating the video. Loved the faster speed to present the overview of the process required to accomplish the project. I really enjoyed your commentary as well over the speed up process. Again I have to say ----- Brilliant job on creating the video.

Very Nice izzy. And I have made multiple of the free clamps. I glued a piece of sandpaper to the bottom of the clamp itself that rests on my piece so it has a better grip. May have to make some dog holes and try this one. Glad to see you building again bud!

First, who put my name on your pencil? Second, In 1996 a good friend next door bought a shed and we went in together and put wood working tools in it and we made some projects together. He passed away a year later. He painted his shop the same color green as you did. Makes me always think of Charles when I see that, good times. I need a hold down system for my CNC and this will work. May have to scale it down but gonna give it a try. Thanks for sharing this Izzy.

I have a large CNC table and one of the issues i'm faced with in clamping material to the table is the large head of any clamp, especially metal clamps getting in the way of the router or bit running into it and breaking. With these, they are the same height as the material and being made out of wood if you cut into them, no big deal, just go cut another one. One suggestion i'd make is that to make your ends on the clamps and on the dogs with a dado of sorts in order to hold down the material also. Not only do you need lateral pressure exerted by the clamps but you need the ability to keep the material from rising off the table when using something like an upcut spiral. Take it from me that slight modification will save you alot of grief. Good Job IZZY
