Take it from someone who started to go bald in their teens - save yourself the hassle and shave it off, or crop it close. Don't waste your time obessing over it, or paying out for dubious treatments. Nice sofa, by the way.

Why would you shave it off? If you start early enough 75% can find an effective treatment if they are willing, if you were using “dubious” ones that’s on you.

Nice idea worth considering when having special dimensioning requirements and low budget. Did you have any challenges with the bottom structure bending out of line so that only three legs would be touching ground?

Similar designs have a slot running across the back of the sear section where the back can slide in. You might be able to put small supports underneath? Look at maidenhome.com/collections/the-muir-sofa. Somewhere on the site is a schematic for assembly, which is pretty easy to figure out a DIY.

They are called grommets. There is a grommet tool that easily punches them into the leather. Sold on Amazon and ebay.

I kinda thought the same thing when I saw the title, then when I saw the grommets being used? I was near-certain since I knew it was extremely familiar. I had to search out the old video too, to prove that while I WAS wrong, at least I wasn't crazy lol.

It is very costly and wasting time you need to watch tools to match a tools material and labour involved and not very good so far sorry it is not practical in practicality
