I swear you're the best professor in the world. I wish i known your channel when i was in 9 and 10 grade because my biology concepts were so terrible and i really struggled in biology because of my teachers. But now i am in 2nd year of my college (last year) and i found your channel by studying the first chapter Respiration from your videos and now i am on second chapter Homoeostasis and you literally taught me so well and cleared my concepts. I literally remembered the first chapter on my finger tips. Thank you so much ❤ i swear we need more people like you who teaches in more simpler and easier way rather than repeating the textbook definitions. Hats off to you!! ❤️👏💗

Hi Dr Mike. I teach A&P too and wonder if our historical teaching of positive feedback as being "homeostasis" might need a rethink. Childbirth isn't return to a similar state, blood clotting stops bleeding and sort of is. I'm still chewing on this. What do you think?

Is Homeostasis factory set for earths gravity? Astronaut's on the space station in zero G lose bone and soft tissue density. Are the mechanorecptors the primary loop for bone and muscle density loss in zero G. Are the Mechanorecptors subdivided into different categorizes bone, fascia, muscle ?

What about if a person experiences stress over time and their blood glucoses rise. The cells will modify some of their insulin receptors to control how much glucose they uptake. This is called insulin resistance. Shouldn't that be considered a homeostatic reflex?
