I always feel kinda sorry for Vince Clarke- he's been part of loads of bands during the 80's- he founded Erasure, Yazoo and Depeche Mode, yet he always stands round really quietly in the background. Perhaps he prefers keeping to the music rather than all the glam, but he deserves some credit.

What can you say when vince found Andy after the 41 auditions before Andy he was given two songs to sing namely one day and who needs love like that. Andy was given 5 minutes to interpret the songs I don't know how he done vince is quoted as saying as soon as Andy started singing he said I've found him and by God was he right after 3 failed singles who needs love like that heavenly action and oh la mour there where going to give up until there released sometimes it shot up the charts to number 2 since then hit after hit rolled off the pen 🖋 of Andy and vince I don't care what anyone says I absolutely totally love them seen in concert countless times every concert better than the last the best one ever is the tank Swan and the balloon utter sheer mind blowing joy To give them there titles Mr Andrew Bell.
