In this video, I review the 2022-2023 homeschool year’s curriculum - what worked and what we loved, and what didn’t work and what we didn’t like so much! I cover all the subjects: math, language arts, spelling, handwriting, science, history, art and more for my Pre-K/Kindergarten and Grade 3 students!

My husband and I know many languages. I was noticing that you have almost exactly the same curriculum picks that I have loved and use myself. Especially The Well Trained Mind - we are onto their level three of first language and 4th of Writing with Ease, because the level four has a lot of writing from Middle Ages literature and that’s where we are in the history. I wanted to tell you about Picta Dicta for Latin. I am not seeing many KZbinrs using it but I can attest that it works very well and approaches the language as a living language (learning the grammar in the context of how it would be used) which is a huge help in learning that language in particular. It’s also very funny and engaging, there is an app portion which is very well done and then corresponding practice pages that actually have the child writing the sentences in Latin (not the more popular approach of fill in the blank… which I feel doesn’t give the same amount of use and familiarity to learning). Writing is deeper thinking, so anytime a curriculum has them writing it out themselves, the impact will be huge in our own native language and new ones 💞.
