Great review! Thanks for sharing! 😊 I have used level K, 1, 2, 3, and 5/4 now. Your pros and cons were spot on. K was also easy when we used it, but I found personally that the gentle, hands on and fun approach it provided was the perfect start as a kindergartner. We also were very flexible with the manipulitives and in the high levels, we’ve even just drawn pictures on a white board instead of cutting paper, etc. The spiral method and foundations that are laid continue to build on each level. My kids and I love Saxon math. 🤩

Do you think this can be used with a child who has special needs if we go at a slower pace? This looks like what I need because my daughter can't write yet but she can point, move objects around,and say what things are. She has down syndrome. Thank you.

I do think it would be something you could work with. There is a meeting book that goes over calendar type things but we just talk about it and didn’t actually write in the book. This was very hangs on. No papers other than the teachers manual. You can move at whatever pace is comfortable for you all. Even splitting the lessons up over multiple days. ❤️
