I use the Walmart app as my grocery list even if I’m not shopping at Walmart. I feel like it’s easier to budget that way because I can see approximately how much I’ve spent and can adjust my meal plan if I’ve gone over what I’d like to spend.

My kids and I get carsick if we read (or be on devices) - so we do audiobooks! Either our history cd (story of the world) or a cd from the library, or something I connect from my phone (scribd, Libby, etc)

The hymn study sounds fun! I used to like reading Encyclopedia Brown. My boys have read them too. I always shop with a paper list. Once I sent my husband to the store with a pink list that had bunnies on it. He didn't really like that. Now I have paper with a sloth that says Tired but inspired. My hubby likes it much better.😅

I dont know if you have any advice for me, but thought aid ask just in case. My oldest is in 7th grade this year and he has been so disruptive every day. I also teach my 6th, 3rd grader and preschooler and they all seem to stay on task. My 7th grader interrupts constantly and will randomly do loud things and make jokes. Do you experience this or have you? It is so frustrating and I'm wondering why I homeschool him when he is so disruptive. I have always homeschooled and this year I switched to good and beautiful corriculum and it seems very demanding for on 1 attention while I do their language arts. He is loud, he asks questions, he complains. He has always been the easiest child to teach, but this year he is just on a roll. I try sending him to his room while I teach my other kids, but he'll start drumming, talk very loud or play legos and not stay on task. So worried about how the rest of our school year is going to go. It's been rough with him.

Hugs mama::: but dare I say. THAT is why you homeschool.. to correct, to teach, to train, he’s not someone else’s problem to be passed off. That’s your job. Continue to ask God to give you grace and strength and train him up. It’s not always easy, it’s not supposed to be
