HOMESCHOOL ORGANIZATION AND TIPS! With a new homeschool year approaching, many of us are trying to get all the homeschool curriculum and supplies organized! I have 4 kids I am homeschooling and also work part time outside of the house so it is important to remain organized so we are always ready! Here is a video all about homeschool organization and extra tips! I hope this gets you motivated to get your homeschool all organized and ready to go! We use BJU Press Homeschool but you can use this organization way for ANY curriculum.

I really like those flexible binders. 😊 I have a first grader and she does really well with her work being organized by day of the week. So in her binder I have a divider with a pocket for each weekday and I sort each of her subjects for the week. When she is done with her work she turns it in to our turn in basket and I check them each day, but I don’t re-file until the end of the week when I also pull all of the new sheets for the next week. 🙂 Her independent work this year is Math, Explode the Code, Spanish and her Social studies packet. These are the only worksheets we have. She also has a handwriting book that she moves to the next day when she’s done each day.

Great video and so many wonderful tips!!! I also have a 5th grade daughter doing BJU Press DLO! Both of my girls greatly enjoyed watching your kids during the unboxing video.👍🥰 I also do additional planning, but use the online Homeschool Planet Planner. It has been a “lifesaver!” Last year I used the ProClick binding system for each of their work texts. Love your idea for using the flex binders too ~ I will definitely use a lot of your tips. Hey there again! Wanted to ask you just a few questions now that our materials have come in.... 1. Do you have the math student guide in the mom binder or your daughters? 2. Where did you find the record of grades to print out? 3. Will you be doing the subjects in the same order every day? 4. Do you assign your grading periods on bju online? Are all of your answer keys in your mom binder as well? I saw the student handouts and VLG’s for each subject but didn’t know what you did with all the other parent guide papers. Thanks for the video! This is our first year with BJU so trying to decide how to organize. We are starting next week.

Thank you so much for watching! I put everything into the binder. Video lesson guides, answer keys, handouts, and if we had tests, I would also include them. I would probably need to expand it to two separate binders but that way when I do my weekly planning I would have everything in one place. Good luck on your school year!

Ok gotcha. I have 2 in 4th grade, 1 in 3rd, and 1 K5 so I guess I would need a binder for each 4th grader, 1 for 3rd, and 1 for K5?? I have the bound combined copy of the VLG for 4th grade so I’m just using that and not adding those into the mom binder but since there is double the handouts I’m not sure it would all fit in 1 binder. I’m just sitting here looking at the giant stack of parent guide papers and student handouts and have no idea how it would all fit in 1 binder for sure!
