Hi Saki! I am a 16 year old Christian boy from the UK who is very excited about discovering your channel (through your testimony) and I find it awesome! I have been homeschooled all my life and I am delighted to find you do homeschooling too! For about 4 years or so, Japan has stood out to me from every other country in the world. I have a real strong passion and love towards it, to share the Gospel, and to reach out to the unsaved. For a while I wondered whether it was my own hearts desire for Japan or if God had placed that desire in me. I prayed about it, was challenged with it, doubted whether it was really from God. Only in the past year or so my love for Japan has really grown. I began learning the language, and started listening to Japanese worship music (like Praise, King of Kings, Good good Father, Hillsong worship and many others) not too sure how much that will help me learn the language but was just excited to hear worship in a different language. I still wondered whether it was really from God however. As normal studying and other things took more time out of my day, time spent learning Japanese went less and less, only occasionally doing it. I spent time praying and seeking the Lord about Japan asking if it was for me. I felt God was saying a few things to me about it but I wasn't certain. Then, only the other night, I was having my usual time with God, listening to what he wanted to say to me, but my mind was restless and I couldn't focus properly. But then, out of nowhere, God spoke to me. He told me I should make a move. After I asked him with what, he answered me saying to make a move for Japan and learn the language. From all the times God has spoken to me about it, this time I was certain it was God saying for me to study and learn Japanese. Whilst I was speaking to him, he also told me I should give up my computer game time Monday to Friday, and replace it with learning Japanese. I was a little hesitant but soon decided to dive right in and go for it! I also hope to dedicate time on the weekends, and not just through the week. So, I have begun the journey to learn Japanese, and knowing it is from God to do so, but also knowing that it will mean real dedication, time, and in it for the long run. I also so grateful for discovering your channel, thank you so much for what you do :) I really appreciate it, and who knows, maybe in the future I might have lessons with you! The Lord bless you and your family mightily, -Ethan ( イーサン) 😊

When we lived in Oregon, my wife was the only Japanese woman within 100 miles homeschooling her kids. She even wrote an article titled "Homeschooled by an Alien" for a homeschooling magazine.

What qualifications do you need as a homeschooler or parental schooler? I´m asking as a German. Is there also a scchooling plan or a lessons plan?

The parent-teacher must have a high school diploma or equivalency credential and must select and purchase a curriculum😊
