This was so helpful! I’m a homeschooling mom of three all of mine are in K and 1st grade this year so it’s my first time homeschooling with a newborn next month! My oldest is four she’s learned to read and write over the last year and I’m a little nervous about all the changes and wanting to keep her moving forward at a reasonable pace with my twins learning to read this year too Issa lot! I am lowering my expectations now and going to try to go with the flow because as a mom of four I’ve been down this road before and I know the newborn phase is so tough and we can get back to it all later. It times up with summer (due next month) so with three months off/slow hoping to get back into a rhythm by late fall. Thanks for the encouragement !!

I came across your channel just in time! I will be homeschooling for our 3rd-year with one boy in 2nd grade and a newborn on the way in late August/early Sept. I'm nervous but I know I can get through this!!!

Come August I will be trying to teach pre-k, k, and 2nd grade with a toddler and a newborn. I'm TERRIFIED. 😰

Okay the good news is kinder and preK can be SO SIMPLIFIED! When my oldest was in kinder (this was our first year homeschooling) we did MAYYYYBE 1-2x a week of “school” that lasted approximately 30-40 min at most. We spent most of our days reading & playing & exploring museums, parks, science centers, etc. And now he is finishing his 2nd grade year as a strong reader & already doing multiplication 🙌🏻 loves history, science and art - basically has a well rounded education that all started with a foundation of a very simple kindergarten year. All this to say YOU CAN DO THIS! We were built to handle hard things & while it may not be perfect to someone else - you as momma knows what’s best! Keep this first year simple (even for your 2nd grader!) and focus on connecting as a family over books, art & play ☺️
