I have not set foot in a studio in 40 years, when I worked on 2 LP's here at a local one in the basement of a house. I don't think a whole lot has changed after listening to the banter. Being a guitarist/producer/track guy here... I loved seeing this with Joey! I would have a million questions for him. I really like his modern wall of sound productions and how he always seems to have a part in the production that I call "engines" that can make a downtempo song feel uptempo... if that makes sense. Please encourage him to start a YT channel. LOL

That’s the pinnacle of Homeskoolin’. Joey, genuinely, thank you for that excellent simplification of the point of everything building to something on those four and eight transitions. Those moments are what have held me close to music my whole life. Most recent examples I can cite are on Tom’s co-op with DDL. Bryan might be the sweetest box player out there, but there sure is a bit of the devil in those fingers. Planetary talent for sure. Thanks as always for the insight into studio life, Tom. Uncle Larry, hear me out. There's a sub-group of humans who share characteristics which include heightened senses of hearing, light sensitivity, smell, even tactile sensitivity, and also are very empathetic to others, especially in a small group setting, where they are attuned to the needs of others and are magicians at facilitating harmony and team dynamics. They can tell what people need and can pull out and amplify their strengths. It can be tiring but incredibly satisfying. They can also be mine canaries for a group and anticipate the future better than most. Seems as if Joey fits. (I'd guess musicians are well represented in this group.) Ask Joey if he usually feels the sensation of hot or cold drinks going all the way down and sort of blooming as they hit the stomach. Regardless of all this, Joey sure seems like a special person and a joy to play with on the same team.

I concur on the transitions. And those are some of the whitest/ clean pair of sneakers i've seen. I could never keep my that sharp. My mother also recorded with Jerry Reed back a way's. When he first came to town he was only Known for the Guitar playin. I'll have to ask when he got introduced into the singing. But that's some history only old music row would Know.

What does everyone think of ordering a guitar and having it shipped if you’ve never played it?

If you know what you are doing, it works. If not, the key is return policy. I have bought killer pieces online, world-class with no issues. But you got to know a) what you want b) how to asses the piece online c) how to gauge the seller. It has worked for me! No argument.

The best you can do I think is Sweetwater. They give you the weight of the guitar they also give you a picture of the exact guitar you will receive. But it's still a crap shoot. Sweetwater is getting bigger so I hope they don't change.
