I think a lesson to learn is if anything becomes meta relevant midseason, just hold off on building it or spending elites at least until you see the next season updates.

Nerfing Rage Fist is absolutely atrocious... so many people (myself included) spent an elite TM on Primape to use it for just 1-2 weeks. Pathetic move from Niantic, as usual, Rage Fist didn't even have time to shine.

Which is to be expected, I think the Rage Fist nerf is a slap in the face but generally nothing to good besides that. Bulldoze is scary though, cause Zygarde just needed a buff. Holiday cup being Little cup only though is an L, but Mega Masters being back is such a W.

I thought the Rage Fist change would be because of some upcoming change, like giving the move to another Pokemon and pre-emptively making sure it isn't broken... but only the Apes learn Fist in main series, so yeah just a weird oopsie-doopsie to change it so soon after release

One thing I've noticed after returning from a loooong break is that they've given way too many coverage moves to pretty much every pokemon there is. A Thunder Punch Typhlosion can practically spam every water Pokemon to oblivion, which I hate. It used to be much better when you were forced to switch if matched with a perfect counter. That's probably the reason why the meta is so boring right now, you should only pick pokemon with the highest number of resistances and lots of bulkiness since there are no hard counters any longer.

You can get to ace or veteran with just 4 or 3 star high attack Pokémon you like. As long as the all three have decent coverage, one heavy hitting, and one spam charge move on all three, you can and will move up pretty easy. Im 2519, mainly playing 2500 with a mix of perfect iv Pokémon. Its darn near impossible to cover every weakness with a 3 Pokémon team, so you will run into bad match ups and bad leads its just the game, but if you keep heavy hitting mons in mind you will win a lot more than you think even if you dont have good pvp ivs.

@elijones1007. A mix of like 10. My main line is 2500, and it's Groudon with p blades and fire punch, Dialga with iron head and roar of time, and Kommo-o with close combat and brick break, but i swap in a few different ones like Lugia, darkria, Goodra, or Blaziken to name a few. I just focus on pokemon I like that have a good fast charge move, and a nuke move and build around it. My first lineup with Kommo-o, Dialga, and Groudon doesn't have a lot of weaknesses and a decent chunk of resistances. Again no team can be perfect for coverage both offense and defense wise, with only 3 mons. My 1500 team is kind of all over the place with what I want to try with mixed results, and my 500 team has a decent win rate with just shadow Nidoking, shadow Whiscash, and shadow Jumpluff. The 500 team is more about fast moves hammering them down quickly and less about the charge moves.

I got a rank 8 great league Mightyena. I know Mightyena isn't good, but I still enjoy playing with it once in a while. Seeing how all the elemental fangs got buffed, it made me really stocked, (since Mightyena can learn all of them). So even though I still predict to lose alot, I still want see how much better it becomes. Problem is now; which move should I use? (I might team it up with my Bibarel). Does anyone have any predictions on which Fang might work best for the new meta?

Sick and tired of nerfs, buffs and all this garbage. GBL needs to switch to all equal base damage, ditch the energy charge system by using a count down timer system on the "charged" attacks. For balance purposes make the timer increase by 1 to 3 seconds each time their used to stop spamming. This clock affects both "charged" attacks for any given Pokemon. And yes, stronger nuke moves and status effect moves have a longer cool down timer. The meta can be destroyed completely by using random locked in picks as you rise up in rank. Example: ranks 1-5 player picks all 3, ranks 6-10; 1 random lock in pick, ranks 11- 15; 2 auto picks, 16- 20 full team random you are shown. 21 and higher, full blind auto picks. No more meta reliance, prove your skills. Yes all selected random picks will be at cup cp level.
