As someone who took part in these practice battles… why would we do that? lol The discord is a fairly tight knit community, no ones trying to flex by knowingly hard countering him (which isn’t even really a flex to begin with)

@@anthonyiscoolxx not necessarily doing on purpose although that is also a concern depending on how open it would be, but even if not intentionally, if you're building a team and you already know what you're facing against and it's an off meta pick, you probably just pretend you don't know and pick your original team for the meta, but you already know what is in the opponent so it can't unwire your brain and decisions. But I know it doesn't really matter overthinking this for a showcase, I was just curious if these thoughts come into the mind of everyone involved and how they go about it to try to keep things neutral and still playing to win even though they already know a lot in advance about how it'll probably gonna go. It's mostly for off meta showcases though, something like testing origin palkia or annihilape when it came knowing it would have everyone actually expecting and countering it would look much more like reality of teams and how it's going to go
