The tooth thing is called an occlusal guard! I wear upper and lower ones and it makes such a big difference. Some people need to use them when they drive.

You mentioned earlier that your porcelain sweater got dye on the cuffs.I had a few ideas. One is to wash it with a colour catcher. If that does not work I would cut off the cuffs then reknit them, then graft the new cuff onto the sleeve. There are a lot of videos on KZbin.
