Thanks Zane, easy to install too. I was surprised at the hardness of the Kubota guard.

Oh man, you better believe it Matt. All we had was a narrow front Massey Harris 44 with a farm loader on it. No power steering, nothing but muscle to turn it.

Hi Wendel I agree older tracrors have metal grills are fairly hard to ding up . The plastics /fiberglass crack when you make the wrong move. The Dealers are always happy when you need a newone .Have a nice Labour Day you deserve it Cheers

My goal is to minimize the out of pocket expenses for new plastics Bob.... (-: Hopefully this will keep the brush out of the damage zone.

Homestead Implements makes some pretty nice equipment (right here int the USA!). I have one of their grader boxes. That guard looks good on there. Homestead will paint the equipment pieces to match almost any tractor too! 👍👍👍

That's cool. I'm impressed with how snug it fit too. I figured they'd match colors for different brands.

Apparently they make them to fit the machine you have Eric. The paint is a little off, but what the heck that's not a show stopper is it.

I was thinking about how careful you were not to scratch a work tractor but then again how many brand new tractors have you ever had? Another great video Wendell

Its always the first scratch or dent in something new that determines its path for the future !! It's not going to take long to get this thing looking like its been doing something Rick.

Old tractorsare better . Thts similar to my take. if your vechileis already dented you dont worry about new dents. Same with my clothes if they are already torn or impregnated with grease stainsI font have to worry about them. I likely would have just positioned that grill and welded it on. Too much hassle drilling precison mounting holes
@mdh78124 ай бұрын
I think having bolted on would make it easier to repair if it gets pushed in by something. Unbolt it and flatten it out and reinstall it.
@thecollectoronthecorner70614 ай бұрын
@@mdh7812 Yes that would be better, one time I was a mechanic on a road construction job. everything they had was old antique worn out junk stuff bought at auction., The belly pan on a dozer was so bent and warped that only a few bolts where holding it on.. It came off and I jacket it up in place. and was welding it on. The company owner and his brother came by. and the brother asked what are you going to do if you need to take that off to change a hose or something.? I replied that what my cutting torch is for. The owner was a really nice guy. said he is the best mechanic all he has is a big hammer pipe wrench and vice grips and torch and welder. If he cant get some thing of with that hammer and vice grips. He torches it apart and welds it back together!
@tractorman44614 ай бұрын
I agree about not having to worry about the old tractors in the woods, but all things considered, I think bolting is the best way to go on a new tractor. If I welded it I'd be forced to buff and paint the welded areas. LOL
@tractorman44614 ай бұрын
@@mdh7812 Hahahaha...like I told Randall above, if I was to weld it, I'd be forced to buff and paint it. And that's something I'm almost allergic to. (-; Besides, that may have disappointed the cool dude that gave it to me.
