If you live in chronic pain, you walk with deliberate steps. It isn't always reflected on your face, after a long time of chronic pain, it is normal but variable from day to day or even moment to moment. Lots of really great conversation between you and Josh. Thanks Justin!

When you were talking about your final resting place, I thought of my husband. He was a very simple man. He wanted to be taken to his resting place in the back of his old 91 Dodge Diesel. Surprisingly, we were able to do that. 10 yrs ago, we moved from GA to AL. He died last November and he rode down I-20 in his casket in the back of that old Dodge truck. He would be so proud of me and our 2 grown sons that we carried out his wishes. He also had a Amish made wood casket.

Amazing interview! Absolutely loved this one. I’ll be listening to it again. So much good information and makes one stop and think about what am I doing with my homestead and where do I want to be and why. Thank you for sharing these podcasts. ❤

I finally told my child to quit college. She kept changing her mind it come to she would almost have to start over because she didn't know what she wanted. Why waste the money go work find something then if you can go back if you want.

Why not offer a co-op or membership investor type system. For example, I am looking in the process of selling my house in Idaho so that I can be closer to my kids in Pittsburgh. I homeschool my younger kids (5 and 8) and my big boys are adults or almost (17 and 21) and live with their dad. I am in my camper and looking at land all over around Ohio, West Virginia and down to North Carolina. I have been watching you all for the last 8 years. My late husband dove deep into the rabbit hole of healthy eating and living when he got colon cancer. He passed away 18 months ago and I decided to get out here where my big boys are. I grew up on a dairy farm in Idaho and have grown a garden and raised a beef cow, goats, chickens, ducks, and all that on my one acre in Idaho. But now I want to go bigger and am looking for the type of lifestyle you all are living. If you offered some sort of apprenticeship or buy in as well as workers and a place to park our camper until we got settled or a piece of the land you are trying to buy, because you want to save the land or area. Offer a development kind of system with covenants or rules to live by if you live there. Almost like a compound living with everyone using there skills that they bring with them. Shares in a community or something like that. I would totally be interested in that type of thing.

The sign of the cross. In the name of the Father (right hand to forehead) and of the Son (right hand to lower abdomen) and of the Holy (right hand to left shoulder) Spirit (right hand to right shoulder). Amen Catholics use this prayer to end other prayers and to begin a few also. Sometimes as a stand alone prayer. We strive to remember to give praise and thanksgiving in all that we do.

I will be 68 years old next month. I have RA and osteoporosis. Last summer I broke my back twice. The 2nd time I didn't know when I broke it. I wanted to homestead for health purposes. How do I grow my own food with restrictions?

I’ve gotten to the point that I don’t believe in offensiveness. No one can say anything that can hurt me. And if someone does say something that does disturb an emotion inside me. I don’t look at them like there the bad guy. I look at me and identify why I felt that. Then I work on fixing that thing that led to that emotion. People lack emotional control. And this is man between man obviously. When woman get involved it’s different because woman are emotional creatures.

JUSTIN AND JOSH FORGIVENESS BECAME MUCH EASIER FOR ME WHEN GOD WOULD SHOW OR REMIND ME THAT I HAD BASICALLY DONE TO HIM OR SOMEONE ELSE WHAT WAS DONE TO ME AND HOW HE( GOD) FORGAVE ME. TO ALSO REMEMBER AND RECOGNIZE THAT PEOPLE WHO DO NOT HAVE THE STRENGTH FROM THE HOLY SPIRIT JUST AS PETER DID NOT HAVE THE STRENGTH OVER FEAR TO ADMIT THAT HE KNEW JESUS, JOSH YOUR DAD DOES NOT YET HAVE THE STRENGTH TO OVERCOME HIS TEMPTATIONS. GOD TAUGHT ME AND TOLD ME TO LOVE ANYWAY NOT DEPENDENT UPON THE PERSON DESERVING MY LOVE AND FORGIVENESS. IMAGINE COMMITTING TO NOT DIVORCE YOUR DAD JUST AS YOU COMMITTED TO NOT DIVORCE CAROLYN.

I wish my commute was longer so I could listen to this in one sitting before work. I’m so thankful to hear this interview with Josh and finally get into the weeds on some topics. Thanks for uploading some of these kindred interviews to your YT archive Justin. Loved the Joel Salatin talk as well. This is exactly what many of us need to hear and contemplate. These videos remind me of my childhood where some of my favorite times were listening to the stories and chats of the adults and elders in the family during get togethers.
