Hi Kevin I am a 60something female , I went to school in Ohio and California, in Ohio I was told don't read ahead , I was scolded in 3rd grade for reading ahead because she wanted all her pupils on the same level , in California we were encouraged to read ahead that teacher wanted us students to excel , what a difference from 1970s to now

With you on the ADD, Kevin. Mine is lifelong though only diagnosed when I was age 39. Now I am 65. So much of what I experienced finally made sense once diagnosed. And the big plus? Incredible and rapid creativity - flowing through and out of me. In the zone and "channelling". Charlie in England.

Yea, Kevin, you're right - I'm very broken, at the moment - physically & my bones aren't healing , so getting about is painful & difficult, so it would be easier to stay on my butt all day, but I can't. I force myself to get out there - thankful;ly our property is flatter than yours, so I can access most of it, but it;s not easy and I have to be careful - but now winter is almost gone, it's so pretty out there with the wattle's in bloom, wild heath attracting the bees and the birds getting excited at the prospect of setting up housekeeping again, the frogs are singing all day - I'm blessed and thankful and ever-so grateful. But, I do need to be more productive - I'm no Steven King, I can't work thru' that level of pain, but I do need to get back to writing - rather than just being a keyboard warrior... It's finding a balance that distracts from the pain ( as I don't like meds) without adding to it by what I do...OK, I off into the sun.

I believe what you have said to be factual and the Truth. Education is not like it was when we had to go. I feel when Education was first introduced back when Rome, Greece, Germany, France, England,etc, etc, etc a nation of themselves was preordained to failure from History.

I never had anything if I did not work for it. I am PTSD and dyslexic since age ten due to an accident blinding my left eye. I can write a book on prejudiced action against me. Not complaining, just saying. I worked construction most my working life. My body was not well for around thirty years. Now that the body can't do physical labor, well.. just this side of homeless. I do have a few projects that will be funded, very soon.. I hope. One is building in collaboration with learning center creator, Sherri Divband. They are named Aramis Creative Learning Center. The other project is in water treatment. Recouping water to its natural PH. I worked with one inventor-developer in the early 1980's thru the late 1900's. He developed a system that would bring tap water to natural balanced PH within 20 minutes. I am confident that funded will happen, asap. By the way, I'm 75. ;o)

Indoctrination… wokeness… poor reading, writing skills, poor language skills, math skills low….they teach kids the info needed for state testing…most kids fail because they do not test well… however failure also is caused by poor teaching skills, personality difficulties between student and teacher, etc….lets not forget bullying, peer pressure, no accountability. We home schooled in the 90’s-2000… good luck this year Daniel!
