Good Job! Congrats on your big weight loss I lost 75 lbs since Christmas. I did the diabetic eating, I'm diabetic on insulin. God did help me do it, definitely!! I'm 5ft 6in & small boned, I have 40 more lbs to lose to be 140lbs. Ice cream was my weakness & over eating supper, my hubby loves to cook when hes off work & always says eat up there is Plenty. Weight just started packing on.. I move more & less kne pain & I'll never go back to being size 18 Jean's or 1X tops. Tfs! Weight loss is Sooo rewarding! I eat small breakfast, no Lunch & supper with no 2nds. I snack on fresh fruit or cheese, small amounts, no breads no sugar. Diet Mt Dew....if I can do it anybody can! I lost it slowly! Praise God!

Hello Tessie. Beautiful video, girl. As for the hot flashes, I am 58 and I discovered that sugar, and carbs, are inflammatory foods. The hot flashes will subside when we eliminate sugar from the diet. I believe this to be a critical "secret" on enduring menopause.

Good evening pretty Tessie ❤ I just finished an AA degree in Substance Use Disorder. You are absolutely correct that along with drugs, alcohol, cigarettes, sex, gambling, shopping and over/eating and undereating are all disorders. Now they are learning that these disorders can come from trauma or events that we have faced in the past and these are the way we have learned to cope. So you are so incredible smart in saying you needed to make changes in your life and learn to love you in order to end the need to comfort yourself with food. You are a beautiful and intelligent woman Tessie. You love God, you have empathy for others, you are humble, the world needs about a million more of people like you! I love your transparency! And you are like taking a big breath of fresh air! Your happiness and joy in everything are contagious and I do not understand how anyone could finish watching one of your videos and not leave feeling full of your grace!

I haven't commented for a while my dog and I went yet another move. We are in Denver my home. Big changes have brought on physical, spiritual, and psychological changes for me also. I lived in a bubble for most of my life to protect myself from more pain but it didn't protect me, God doesn't want us to hide or avoid the growing pain of life. We or at least I stunted my life development by shutting the world out. Well in June my safety net died and I had to worry and take control of my life. I was always good about taking care of others and worrying about everyone else but I neglected my own needs like I didn't count. Sometimes when we dig our heels in and stubbornly refuse to consider we are children of God and we do count, life takes those radical shifts to force our growth. I have over the years watched you grow into an intelligent person able to stand your ground and I admire you so much. Everything you said in this video was like you were tell apart of my story too! I am so thankful for you and finding this message. I have struggled all my life with my weight and loving my self. I was bullied by kids and adult women all through my life. I am learning how to love myself and see myself as God sees me. I am perfect in his image. I am 40 and in early stages of menopause. I am seeking help with that and so far it has help. But I realized I am an emotional eater!! And I am learning how to manage that. Let go and Let God!! He is the only one who can!

Wow!! This was such a blessing and so timely! I am 50 and went through the hardest trials in my life this last year and lost my mom and the stress alone added weight along with a hysterectomy I had a couple yrs ago . I have noticed numb fingers..stiffness in joints and leggs..I feel like I have aged 20 yrs and I am the biggest I have ever been! I make excuses too and eat foods I shouldn't and really have not been taking good care of myself and my mother was morbidly obese and got stage 4 cancer . I have been praying about what God wants me doing now and after watching this..I know that I need to focus on him and he will help me with weight loss!! Thank you and God Bless!!

Tropical vacations we called them. Menopause? When I went through it my husband was diagnosed with a traumatic brain injury and our teenage daughter was out of control! Those years are just a blur nowadays, thank God!

I haven’t been perfect, having a couple frozen dinners, but this is a lifestyle choice. I need to lose about 40 lbs,& need to get exercising. I will,& i have to clean out my tiny apartment to get exercise space. It’s all a process.

I’m 57 years old and like you were, I’m an emotional eater. I work in a stressful job ( Airline customer service) for 38 years. Both my parents are passed my mom-6 years ago and my dad last year. Now I feel like I failed because of the weight gain. I was on a diet weight program for the past 3 years. I lost 60 lbs but gained 30 of it back.

You tell it Tessie!! I did the college, the career, the family and this fall I found myself in my own living hell. I had to turn to God and put him first in my life or I would have self destructed. He gave me the peace I needed to go on. Marriage failing, job overload, son making bad choices, I had to put God first and stop wrapping my life around people and the world. I put my faith, my heart, and my trust in him, wish I would have done that years ago. Would of saved myself so much grief and despair. I get exactly what your saying.

Adoption issues from a sibling and other relatives losing both my parents 4 months apart and my brother being ridiculous and hurtful. Always feeling on the outside looking in. Always feeling empty and not good enough. My weight was Always an issue and again I wasn’t good enough. Which made everything worse. Wish we could be friends in real life. I had weight loss surgery and I feel wonderful. My diabetes was getting worse and I didn’t qualify weight wise but I did because of other issues. I lost my mom, sister and son in a three year period. My depression was through the roof and I am an emotional eater so I get it but I can’t go back to bad habits. Take care and you look wonderful.

When I lost 100 plus pounds it was because I wanted to live. I decided to go on a very strict diet. I ate one meal a day with very specific carbs, fats, and protien with specific calorie counts. Then I ended up in the hospital for not eating enough. (Twice actually) So for a year now I have eaten more like the doctors said, but now I am fifty pounds heavier. I am overweight again now. I don't faint anymore, but that's about it that has improved. My weight is most likely from a medical issue I think at this point.

Real friends tell you the 'truth'. Many people try to fill those holes in the heart with material possessions that they don't need. Those possessions appear to bring them more joy than anything else. Above all else, we have to be 'true' to God. What is His will for His sheep?. As His only begotten son said, " Feed my sheep". For Christians MUST worship with spirit and 'truth'.

Proud of you. I wish I could lose weight but mine is hormonal and due to lymphedema from radiation. Also being autistic I don’t remember to eat so I really don’t eat much anyways. Docs wondered for years and when I had a supervised diet I still gained… they finally started to listen. After I lost 55lbs in 3 weeks from fluid they really listened. But you found yours and you can literally see the weight that has fallen from your soul. I’m so happy for you!
