To anyone on here suffering from menopause: up your magnesium, reduce sugar intake greatly and try yam root cream. I found a wonderful Australian nurse on here named Barbara O'Neil and studied her seminars. SOooo helpful for my hot flashes, night sweats and weight Flux.

@mylifesjourney...sharonkar7802 I have been using the cream for 2 months. I cannot express how grateful I am to Ms. O' Neil. I went from an internal burning hellfire randomly occurring 24/7 to just warmer than my 48yrs of always freezing... I think I'm normal now🤣 I use the cream on my upper chest & neck in lieu of my old moisturizer 🤷🏼‍♀️

I was thrown into menopause when I had a complete hysterectomy 46. I am also diabetic. They both brings on hot flashes. Also I have night sweats. Having babies change alot of hormonal and female issues. I have learned recently in a Bible study that very negative people can really steal your joy. I have distanced myself from them and I find myself feeling better and happier. I am 67 and mornings are hard moving at first. If I had 1 year to live like a friend of mine who was given that diagnosis. I would want to mend any fences I may have hurt someone, and see my family. My greatest joy tho would be knowing I would be with Jesus and my family in heaven.

Tessi, I am going through it right now. No, it may not be menopause at the moment, but I am going through a lot in life right now. I am dealing with severe PTSD and almost every day I have anxiety and racing thoughts and anger. I feel very unsteady on my own two feet. Yes, I'm going to therapy literally every day. Yes, I am taking my medication every day. Yes, I am talking to my friends and family and my support system, but sometimes all of that doesn't feel like enough... But when you sang the song "count your blessings" it made me realize I am blessed and that this won't last forever, I just need to be patient with myself. Thank you so much for your video. ❤❤ Blessings to you and your family.

Love your silver heart. ♥ Counting one's blessing is Biblical! Interesting thing about menopause is me and my sisters all had a different experience. I breezed through menopause, where they each had it harder. For me I chalk it up to eating more plant based, with some fish, as well more physical exercise including doing weight bearing workouts. And making sure we stay hydrated, which is why I drink more water. 🙂 You shared how your husband is lifting weights. Which is why I really encourage you to do weights also for healthy bones, because women who are pre or active menopause often need extra calcium, and weight bearing workouts seem to help our bones when it comes to calcium absorption. 🙂

I went through a hysterectomy at 24 because of severe problems. The doctor told me I needed a hysterectomy on Wednesday and my insurance wanted a second opinion so I went there on Friday the same week and then I had surgery on Wednesday the following week. Then I had breast cancer at 40 so that threw me further into mental pause I am now 56 and cancer free but the hot flashes are horrible at night to the point I wake up in the middle of the night just pouring sweat and often I have to change clothes because of it. My mom is in her 70’s and she still suffers from hot flashes.

I slowly started at the age of 38 and went flew blown as soon as I hit 40. It has been a roller coaster. Worse was dealing with chronic fatigue, bad hot flashes and panic/ anxiety attacks. Someone mentioned that flaxseed helps in menopausal symptoms'. I tried it and haven't stopped taking it. The flaxseed has helped tremendously with the fatigue and hot flashes. I am six years into this unpleasant journey. I too try to do everything as natural as possible. I am still trying to work on the anxiety which is not as bad as it was. Thank God. You mention that we are your therapy, I have to say that watching your videos has been my therapeutic healing journey . You may not know it , but I believe you are a blessing to us. What I noticed is that there are times of the day that I have the energy to do things and times that I just want to enjoy resting. I also want to learn so many things and youtube videos helped me to learn new things like cooking good food for my family so we can eat healthy and save money at the same time. I also garden and want to learn from other gardeners in youtube. Now I am declutterring, donating, organizing and also want to practice more sewing projects. Mindset is very important. And diabetes and arthritis. But I am really happy. With my hubby and my dog Pumpkin. Also, son, but he lives 18 hours away. Life is good! Well, Tessie, I hope you still feel good. When I went through menopause, I didn't have hardly any symptoms. I had small hotflashes for a short period of time but that ended. But they were still doozies! I wanted to be natural and not take any medication as i feel is is a natural transition for women. That is my own personal opinion for me. I do have vertigo but I don't think it was associated with menopause but my vertigo is so bad that I can't stand and I feel like I am going to fall and I am down for a couple of days from it. But I am good now.

Good evening Tessie- When I was young, I was Tom boy. A little female Dennis the menace. There were no lumps in my oatmeal. Then my mother told me the facts of life and I was indignant! I did not want to change. Seems we ladies have to deal with ever changing events in regards to our bodies. Menopause was a relief in spite of all the ups & down. Now I feel that steady continuity I had at 10. It allows me to be more grounded and devote myself to my art. I just feel more grounded in general. Sorry you are currently on a bit of a roller coaster. It should pass, along with the fog and mood swings. Hang in there ~ Diane

Tessie, many prayers for you as you deal with "The Big M."! I think you're right in saying that each woman has her own experience with this transition. It has always struck me that most of us are pretty understanding with girls in that (roughly) 10 to 13 year old age group who are starting their periods. We know that there's going to be moodiness, pain, a learning curve, etc., etc. as they go through a pretty big change in their bodies and their lives. Menopause, naturally, is kind of like going through the whole process in reverse. A totally natural biological "thing." And yet sometimes we can be kind of hard on ourselves (and some of us (not you!) on others!) My prayer is that you can just give yourself permission to rest in bed in the morning after you've had one of those 10-hot-flash nights! The 11th Commandment (last time I checked) is not "Thou Shalt Not Rest." Nor is is followed by "Thou Shalt Not Stop Smiling." I always worry a bit when I see (well meaning, I'm sure) comments that say "The best thing about videos where you open gifts is that you smile all the way through them." I completely understand why youngsters want the adults around them to smile constantly. It makes them feel that the grownups are in a good mood and they're "safe." But as kids get older, they (fingers crossed) should start to notice when dad or mom are having a rough time and cut him or her a little slack! So sorry if this sounds kind of "babble-ish"! I guess what I'm trying to say is that you have the right to feel the way you feel -- which (on some days) -- can be pretty crummy! And you really shouldn't have to fake feeling jolly if for anyone! 😀

I lost my mom when i was 6 years old. I was raised by my grandmother. I didn't know about menopause until 7th grade in Home EC. I figerd out my menstrual cycles out and kept track of things through watching my aunt. I figured out when she went through menopause. I did have a hysterectomy, but when i went through my menopause, I had hot flashes, mood swings and I demanded my doctor do something. I got much needed help and even though I still have hot flashes I am okay. Thank you for sharing your experiences. ❤❤

I had more problems during Perimenopause which lasted at least ten years, Menopause lasted only a couple of years, but I didn't go through any depression, no grumpy, my mental acuity didn't change, just mostly had hot flashes during Perimenopause and regular Menopause! But I did get cold easy and more arthritis

I remember talking to my grandma when she was sixty eight I said how are you doing grandma? She said well I can't clean the closets like I use to me being Young said don't worry no one looks in the closets anyway....now that I am that age I know now exactly what she means I think until you experience something you don't fully understand you can be compassionate and feel like you understand something but that is life and it's experiences. I have fibromyalgia people I knew had it had pain and such I would try to do my best to understand but boy when I got it I had lots more understanding of it. I figure we all have something and yes counting our blessings for sure. I got hot flashes then they left and then came back but now it is like an alarm clock six am one hot flash I never had them as bad as others or I think I was just so happy to have those painful periods end that I didn't mind as much anything else. So now it is my turn to not be able to clean the closets as well.

What a heartfelt video!! Lov d it! The only thing I’ll tell you is that I’ve been done with menopause for 20 years but ever once in awhile a hot flash will hit me out of the blue and I’m like “Where’d that come from?” The amazing thing is they never hit me when I’m cold 🙄. Thank you for sharing 💕

Menopause steals my joy! No mom or grandma, and no two people suffer through it the same. Mine was horrible for 7 years! I had the dizziness for years. Now I can't lose weight and have crappy digestion. It is depressing. Do more of these videos please!!!

I went into menopause at 42, directly after having my second child. At 57, I’m still in it, and the symptoms DO change, become more manageable, etc; I, like most others, have also had health issues over the years, and two of them have been really bad. By comparison, I can say that menopause is a breeze. I can also say, “Thank God I’m not going through that illness anymore!”. “ Count Your Blessings/See What God Has Done.” Thank you for the reminder, Tessie!!!

We also have to be mindful of stress. There's "good" stress and there's bad stress. Ridding ourselves of negativity is wonderful for the mind body and soul. I am healing from major dental surgery. I had a lot of vertigo or dizzy lightheaded spells. So far after surgery, I haven't experienced any. Yay! not sure why but I'll take it. Great video Tessie ❤❤❤

My mom and grandma didn’t notice anything different during menopause either. I didn’t get so lucky. I get hot flashes and I honestly think menopause is giving me my mood swings so I feel bad for my poor family. I’m looking forward to being through it and not having to deal with periods anymore. My mom and grandma both stopped getting periods at age 43 and I’m 43 now so I think it’s right around the corner for me. Here’s what I do to prevent idleness on those days that I wake up tired and lazy. I spend some time writing recipes on recipe cards. Then I laminate them and put them in my recipe box. I wish you the best tessie. You are so sweet and down to earth and your channel makes a positive difference in my life.
