Headcanon time! This "Giant Mindfang" thing is the direction in which the Homestuck Beta would go if shown as a doomed timeline. (I know that's not the actual context for this drawing, or this song, but hear me out.) The Beta uses traditional character inventories. Without the captcha-card shenanigans of the main Homestuck comic, *Dave never impales the crow,* as the sword is never ejected from his non-existent sylladex. As nothing else is ever impaled by Dave, nothing impaled gets prototyped. It seems silly for Jade to prototype a sword on its own, so *the sword itself is never prototyped.* With the sword never prototyped, *Caledfwlch is never created by the game,* consequently turned into the Royal Deringer, and used on the Black Queen. *She kills Jack* with her lance, (as she was going to in Jack: Ascend with her sword,) and *he never becomes a problem.* Also, since Vriska can't mess with doomed timelines, Bec never prototypes himself. *No one else can become similarly dangerous.* Since the Imps and other goons are merely "graveyard stuffers," they pose no real threat, especially without the omnipotence. The kids are able to ascend to God Tier. The timeline demands that the kids be doomed. That can only happen through heroics or villainy. *There is no in-timeline need for heroics, and no in-timeline cause for villainy,* so the timeline needs an external source. Somewhere else in Paradox Space, there's *a Mindfang who is either real, or Vriska in cosplay.* Her decisions and maybe some more external sources somehow lead to *her entering the Beta timeline.* Mindfang, evil as she is, would find a reason to be a problem, and thus, *people would need saving.* One troll would easily lose against four God Tiers, so *she needs to be formidable* in order to ensure their doom. An easy way to make a foe formidable is to *increase her size,* a goal accomplished through *more weird plot shit,* or perhaps *weird puzzle shit* as shown in Problem Sleuth.

To Add To Your Theory, If The Session Vriska And The Other Trolls Played In Had Different God Tiers Or Fan Tiers, This Could Very Well Be Possible. Why? There Is A Fan God Tier Aspect Called Realm, Which Allows The Player With This Aspect To Travel To Any Different Sessions Within The Bounds Of Paradox Space In Order To Find Success. Maybe, Instead Of Thief Of Light, She Could Have Been A Thief Of Realm. Then Through "Shenanigans" She Became A Giantess Because In Their Session It Was Needed For Winning .
