Let me say something very important. Yes he over dribbles. But this is a good thing. He is getting a lot of time to develop his ball skills. Which is great. He's skinny, but quick, and his hands are fast fast fast. This matters SO MUCH MORE than size..... so many guys these days focus on bulking up, and they don't take the time to develop their creative ability, confidence, and ball skills. Dudes have to remember that this is just a game, and it should be fun. The best players are the ones who make the game their own.... they make signature moves, beg for the ball, and fail and succeed over and over again. I gurentee you we will see him in the NBA. People forget that basketball is entertainment. And they focus so much on efficiency but they loose the basic fun aspect of the game.... and they turn into borning predictable players even though they have a lot of potential. Ronaldo is a natural entertainer, and that will invetibally lead him to the big leagues. People want to see an entertainer, even if they overdribble. We can forgive over dribbling, but we really love to see someone's ankles break..... His handles wont go unnoticed, and he seems like a playmaker, not just a play caller. If I have kids in the future, and they get into sports, i'm going to emphasize the importance of developing their skills above all else in whatever sport they play.... and their quickness and speed. I will place this above everything else, and then their IQ under that. And then size under that. Because IQ and size mean absolutely nothing if you cannot make a play with your skill. If your size and IQ fail you, you can still make plays. And it will always be that way. A perfect example of this is Allen Iverson.... who might have been the skinniest guard in NBA history, and may have never actually let a play run through from beginning to end (obviously this is a joke), but his speed, quickness, and ball skills were on an unearthly level..... and it carried him all the way through the highest rankings of basketball guards in human history. There are a lot of guys Lebron's size, but they cant dribble, move, shoot, jump, and pass like him. That's why Lebron is Lebron and Blake Griffin is Blake Griffin and Durant is Durant. They have skills beyond their expected position. That's why Stephen, Kyrie, Russel, and Rose arnt your average guards.... They have skills out the wazzoo.....So I hope kids these days put more emphasis on their skill than anything else. Their size will come naturally, especially when they go to college and start working out 5 times a week. Focus on skill in high school, and use your high school games as a chance to build confidence in your skills, and pull tricks out of your sleeve to increase your creativity. Because, again, you are trying out for a multi billion dollar entertainment business.... and you are going to have to wow people beyond your stat sheet.

Players don't go out there trying to entertain people watching them. They play to win the game. He needs to bulk up because you need strength to improve your overall game. His moves do show his confidence tho

+MrSavageHEH Nah he had match ups with top players Josh Jackson, Julian Newman, and Kwe Parker (even though not far from each other in ranking) to name a few. He doesn't show up much, he's literally barely noticeable. Until an Isaiah Briscoe pull up in his face, Julian Newman crossing his whole team ect. He is training now to become better instead of just relying on pick up games. If he performed well against those matchups (offensively) or at very least lock them down (defensively), he would be ranked higher.
@ManovSteelo9 жыл бұрын
+Long_Live_Mahlz That sounds about correct. Being touted as a "mid-major-plus" prospect now, which will get him to A10 level, at least (FSU offer notwithstanding). Definitely needs to bulk up, or else the dribbling (much of which are carries / palms) is just a gimmick. Good Luck to him, though.

Leon you are so right of his observation of his Ronald talents, he has speed galore that's why his speed sometimes goes faster than his dribble and he will bring the ball up to high but with the proper coaching that easily could work to his advantage - as breaking down defenders with other guys on his team setting picks and moving the defense from side to side with awesome shooters from everywhere he will pick up more assists than turnovers. His shot is nice but, when he gets to his position off the dribble/ using his body in the air will effect his trajectory and release in the air so he may need to get upper body strength this is why I do not see him being as dominant or efficient at buffalo more than Illinois who have a plethora of scorers including: Aaron Jordan the NCAA LEADING three point shooter and TejOn and Trent guards with skills to match that of Ronald ability to score and shoot - in an offense that scores quickly and often this is where he fits. Because he is virtually unstoppable off the dribble and can spot up and shoot well. I hope he considers leaving buffalo and transfers to ILLINOIS ALREADY THEY HAVE TRENT FRAZIER AND TE'JON LUCAS AND AYO COMING ADDING Another star guard like Ronald Segu would fit right in with what Brad Underwood is unleashing a fury of scorers and a flight of rim shakers.
