Hey Stefani, where'd you get your wallpaper from? It's gorgeous!

I want to take this time to fix a mistake. After seeing Devin helping you this week, it dawned on me that last Sunday was his first Father's Day. I missed that fact, and I want to send my belated wishes for his first ever Happy Father's Day. ✈ Stefani, the room looks so soft and soothing, perfect for you and your baby. While the edits in the video make it look fast and easy, just seeing all the nail holes after you filled them, seemed that the trim work was time consuming. But boy, oh boy, was it worth the effort. Looks beautiful. Have a great week. Hope the baby treats you well. Thanks for sharing. ❤❤

Trim, especially crown molding, can be difficult. Kudos for what turned out to be a beautiful job. Wishing you guys all the best!

6:36 Once you get the first piece of crown up, take about a 3' scrap piece and make small adjustments to your miter saw settings until that thing fits into the corner nice and tight with the previous piece. Cut your actual piece using that saw setting and use a regular setting for the opposite side of the crown. Repeat the process using a scrap piece for the next corner. The final wall will involve using scrap pieces to measure both corners. No corners are perfectly square and this method will make sure you have the tightest fit.

Crown installation is definitely a beast. The inconsistent ceilings make it difficult when installing crown on cabinets/built ins.

The trim is such a nice touch, it looks really good. I like that you're going with neutral colors, they're so crisp and clean looking. This is such a lovely designed room.

Room looks amazing. The Beyond Paint seems like a great option to avoid painting a ton of coats. Btw, I know crown is a total pain, but Ron Paulk has a six part series on KZbin on how to hang it and if you follow his method, it comes out perfect every time.

I was not expecting hardboard on the walls as your substrate. I would have guessed MDF.

Love the breakdown through SketchUp! Question: I am doing this same project of adding wainscoting boxes and in my living room, dining and kitchen, there is a chair rail that is 2.5 inches below the living room's only window. Should I therefore have my boxes all be 2.5 inches apart so everything has the same spacing as you suggested? Or should I do a 5 inch gap on the rest of the house's boxes and just be okay with the chair rail's spacing below the window be 2.5 inches? I love all of your projects- I followed your board and batten to the T in my office and it came out beautifully! Would REALLY appreciate a designers guidance on this spacing problem I have. The chair rail goes all the way around my entire living room/dining and kitchen so removing it would be a big hassle. THANK YOU!!!

Do you have any issues with that caulk cracking? I switched to a silicone/latex blend, but working with silicone gets messy, but my latex cracked so quickly. If you have any tips, I'd love to know them!
