Anna Kloots is living in la la land and ignoring the truth behind Paris' urban decay! I will never go back....there are encampments of illegal migrants in the 'ruelles' in Paris. There are rapes and violence and crime like never before. Normandy is still beautiful but the large cities are done. Get rid of Macron's authoritarian and totalitarian ideology and maybe parts of France can be saved

I love this!! I totally relate as an expat in Europe dreaming earlier to finally live here. Even though I live now in Munich, this reminds me of my time living in Paris. She seems so happy and loves her apartment. And I love my German husband who makes me coffee on weekend mornings also and kisses me goodbye saying „I love you“ when he leaves for work during the week.

Your apartment is lovely! I have one thought, if you could reverse the doors on your frig it would be more convenient and the swing would be toward the window rather than needing to reach around the door to sit something down. I did that to my frig but maybe yours won’t allow this.

I think you mentioned that you are in the Marais and that is where my husband and I have rented apartments twice. Love that arrondissement so much! I had not been familiar with Anna prior to seeing this utterly endearing, visually arresting tour. Her Parisienne aesthetic as it pertains to her decor speaks to my tastes and sensibilities, profoundly. I also have an inordinate amount in common with her. I too am a writer. I too have spent deeply formative periods of my Life in NYC as well as Paris. I now live in a Home in Ohio! I reside roughly one hour from where Anna evidently grew up. I chose Ohio because though I am accustomed to more Metropolitan, glamorous, and exciting places, I was able upon becoming legally disabled and reeling from the Death of my beloved Mother, whom I had diligently cared for for seven years, to purchase a fairly large and stately 1945 Colonial Revival House in a peaceful, safe, idyllic suburb with shutters on the windows and all, OUTRIGHT, in Cash. Due to my health, I yearned not to worry about mortgage or rent at all, for Life. Where else but the Midwest, and Ohio specifically, could I have found beautiful, sizeable Real Estate at such a low price? I ADORE IT HERE. I also truly adore Anna's decor choices. The Parisian Chateau and Provincial decor style is how I am decorating my Home, too. I appreciate her references to Marie Antoinette and the Palais Versailles because Marie Antoinette's private quarters serve as my PRIMARY decorating inspiration. Anna's Antiques from the Paris Flea Markets, Le Bon Coin, and other sources, such as her travels have provided immense motivation and satisfaction to me as I continue on my journey of making a House my Home. There is something lovely about seeing another young woman be unabashed in making OVERTLY Feminine Home decor selections. This is coming from another being with a Pink Kitchen...though, I advocate for Pink refrigerators everywhere. Best of luck to Anna 🖤

Such a lovely artistic lady, she deserves to be very happy in her apartment after working so hard. But it always worries me when I hear it's just rented as there's always the feeling of insecurity. I hope she will enjoy her home and be able to stay in it as long as she wants to. The little dog is adorable. What puts me off moving to Paris or other European cities is apartment-living. I am lucky that in London there are still many 3-bedroom houses with garden. Mine is modest but has a big garden and is an an area that is still relatively inexpensive for the amount of facilities, green spaces, transport network, etc. It's not too far from Central London either and I'm so happy with my little home that took 13 years to get exactly the way I wanted it, from building site to a comfortable place. One bedroom is just my dressing room, one bedroom just for sleeping and one little boxroom-bedroom for painting and for my cat to have a good view of the front garden. I have to say that I grew up in apartments and however beautiful they might be, without a garden they feel like prison cells to me, that's why I don't think I could live in beautiful Paris.
