Hi Bill. Sounds like you made the leap to the Homey Pro hub? I’ll be featuring the Heimdall app in my next video.

at 6:25 you see a nice overview of Heimdall Flow cards. The thing is, I don't get the option 'The state changed ..' which I guess is needed in this tutorial. Anybody else has this? I have Dutch as language, but I don't see any resembling card in this language...
@BudsSmartHome18 күн бұрын
@@nickbroekman9360 ~ I am not using that particular card in this flow. The cards which I’m using from the Heimdall app include cards that check if a door contact sensor is active at arming, (to verify if an exterior door is open prior to activation of security), a card to check when the Heimdall alarm is activated, and cards to deactivate the Heimdall alarm as well as set various Heimdall surveillance mode changes.

Information from the creator of the Heimdall app may prove useful in regard to your question about 'The state changed..' card. See the subject referenced here: community.homey.app/t/heimdall-let-homey-watch-over-your-home/134/299 I would recommend an in depth review of this Homey Community post if you need more guidance. You can also reach out to the author: (Danee de Kruyff) if you still have questions.

At 2:35 how can you set up to deactivate directly through the push notification? How can you get the prompt?
@BudsSmartHome2 күн бұрын
In your advanced flow, 'ADD' the Heimdall card "Sensor active at arming." (This card is triggered when there is a sensor in active state when the Surveillance Mode is set to Armed or Partially Armed. When this card starts, the value of the 'Warning' tag will become available). Next in the flow select 'THEN' and choose the 'Push Notifications' card: "Send (Message) to (User)". Connect the Push Notifications card to the Heimdall card in you flow. Next in the Push Notification card, tap on (Message) and you should see a TAG icon on the right side of the Message dialogue box. Click on the Tag Icon and select (Warning). You can add other text to the notification if you want. Finally, click on (User) and "Pick a User" to whom you want to receive the notification.

nice video. Can you do the same but before ARM the house, to pre-check the sensors? for example IF the door/window sensor is open to notify you about this and when you close the door/window the system armed. How is it possible this?
@BudsSmartHome4 ай бұрын
The short answer is "Yes". It may benefit you you watch my video on the Heimdall app. kzbin.info/www/bejne/oqSUaa2Dncajd9k In that video I briefly go over the settings in Heimdall. One of the settings within the configuration of the Heimdall app is to perform a "Pre-Arming Check". After turning on this option you must then create a flow to perform the pre-arming check and to send a notification to users. In the flow you will use a "Heimdall" Card - "Sensor is Active at Arming" for your "WHEN" statement. This card is triggered when there is a sensor in active state when the Surveillance Mode is set to Armed or Partially Armed. A "Warning" tag will be generated by the active (open) sensor. you must the n ADD a "Push Notification" Card to the flow that will send the Warning to the selected user. The warning will notify the recipient that a sensor is active/"open". Hope this helps?

as I said last time, they need to upgrade it to the new z-wave 800 series and just make the ethernet standard. until then, I will stick with my old smartthings hub. Also great job on the video as always. Is heimdal secutity free?
@BudsSmartHome6 ай бұрын
I agree @FawziBreidi. As for the Heimdall app, yes, it is a free app.

hi Bud’s, I’ve heard majority app on homey pro are subscription, Is that right ?
@BudsSmartHome5 ай бұрын
@@tikass9901 No that’s not correct. All the apps that I currently have are free via the Homey App Store. As a matter, fact, I’ve never seen an app that had a cost associated with it within the store.

Hi Bud, do you still have the Push Confirm Notification in Homey? I have a Pro 2023, and dont have that option?
@BudsSmartHome4 ай бұрын
@@greganddk - Yes Greg, I still have the Push Notifications system command within my Homey Pro 2023. They don’t show up within the system commands panel initially, however, if you right click on the canvas area and select “Add “/ “Then…”, you should then see “Push Notifications” option within the system column.

Bud love your videos but since LG bought Homey this will be a product that will go down the tubes rapidly! LG has f'd up everything they have touched. Stick with Home Assistant if you truly want to control devices and eliminate the crap products that dont work!
@BudsSmartHomeАй бұрын
Thank you for watching and sharing your thoughts! I understand concerns about LG’s acquisition of Homey, but I’m taking a wait and see approach. Homey’s updates and focus on user-friendly automation keep me invested, though I respect Home Assistant for its flexibility. Both have their strengths, and I aim to highlight the best for all users. Thanks for commenting. It’s always great to hear different perspectives! ! 😊
