I'm Indonesian priest, feeling so blessed to listen to Bishop Raul's homilies. I keep watching his homilies for he gives me not only knowledge but also understanding, not only divine inspiration but also encouragement of drawing near to the Lord. I repeat my previous comment. If the cathedral is not ready relocate the altar to the centre of the church with the pews in circles or semi circles around the altar front and back. This is the fornat in the Luverpool Metropolitan Cathedral in Liverpool. England. You may goggle photographs of the interior of this cathedral.The rationale is Christ anf his priests are at the centre of his church. It makes sense and is a unique format. As the priest says mass the pews behind him are reserved for priests, nuns, seminarians, lay ministers, wardens and the choir.
