5:50 Sun Tzu wrote at a time before the invention of high school. Education did vary but there were some real big middle schooler generals back then who would make big middle school plays that would be obvious even to someone who has never been in an IRL battle, like Cloud. "Feed your soldiers. Soldiers fight better when they're fed." Cloud imagines a modern nation-state, industrial-era, all-volunteer army with a motivated fighting force. In Ancient China, most of the soldiers were just there so they didn't get fined (to death). The generals had to learn how to win with 10000 teammates that might gg and run at the first sign of trouble. Imagine explaining to the average middle schooler how you're gonna win in battle but first you gotta stand around in the freezing rain for a few weeks. To a middle schooler, not picking the fight immediately but waiting until you're well fed, rested, and motivated versus a hungry, exhausted, and demoralized opponent is I'm 14 and this is deep. How many middle schoolers does Cloud know who can master tactical reasoning to this level and more importantly have any of them been invited to the tourney? 19:15 Proofs in science: Sun Tzu wouldn't have been able to do them either 😅? That means: which theory covered in class explains the thing you saw? "It changed color. Okay, explain the background why." When the solution changed from acid to base, the dissolved ions changed to the X state so they are now colorless.

You should try modded rounds, I find it so entertaining watching a round go 15+ rounds

Common sense is not actually common, even today, but especially back then before academia became a proper interconnected institution. Today people in military and economic sectors still unironically read Sun Tzu because the lessons are timeless.

Proofs are indeed incredibly annoying, but they are very important for being able to understand the fundamentals of the universe. Geometry, for example, is often very easy to do at the macro scale, where like you said, you can just see the answer right in front of you, but when you are working at either much larger or much smaller scales, being able to prove that something is a specific shape, either something that has been created to be that specific shape or the shape of said object is trying to be determined, is quite valuable.

Cloud hovers over the cards like he's not 50 hours into the game. That's really helpful for new viewers to understand what's happening during the gameplay. Totally intentional, not a sign of inexperience or lack of memorization. In fact, it's Cloud flexing on the opponents that he can take his mouse off of aiming to make the content more understandable for the viewers.

You should read the art of war, there’s more to it like the use of spies and the concept of indirect warfare. From watching you play forts I know you already understand indirect warfare but trust me you’ll like the book.
