If methionine is not given than why are we giving betain? it is also converting HC into methionine and the level of methionine will rise ultimately.

If we give betain, then all the homocysteine will be converted to methionine, which will reduce the amount of homocysteine, thus curing the problem. If we give methionine, then methionine will be converted into homocysteine, which is worsening the problem.
