Ballistic barely scratches the surface of adjectives one can use to describe the Ford RS200 Evolution. Designed and engineered by a team with extensive background and experience at the highest echelons of motorsport, the purpose-built Ford RS200 was unlike any of the other road-going Group B homologation specials offered by the competition. A mid-engined rally car barely in disguise, featuring a fully fledged race-bred engine and drivetrain at the center of it all, the road-going RS200 provided an unmatched Group B experience for owners.
20 of these were later converted to the fabled Evolution specification, seeing the road cars outfitted with 600HP 2.1L BDT-E engine specifications, as well as the iconic 16-inch Speedline wheels, upgraded brakes and suspension, among other upgrades. A true monster for the street, the Ford R200 Evolution is the closest thing to an actual Group B rally car that one can buy, and ultimately begs us to ask the question, "What if Group B didn't end?"
