Why does a boy sexually abused by his uncle and others need to be "delivered"? Such a person needs prayer, love and psychological help to process the abuse and, hopefully, move on with his life. Shouldn't the uncle and the 'johns' (adult male customers of prostitutes) be identified, then jailed? And how does one know the boy was homosexual? Many kids sexually abused by a family member and others of their gender are not homosexual -- good psychotherapists can help them recover their heterosexuality. Last, religion can not undo someone's inherent sexuality, as it's something which embodies one's mind, body & soul, like handedness l/r), eye-color and race, for instance. Religious and psychological conversion therapies (CT) which try to convert inherent homosexuals never work. Period. Religion might suppress homosexual-related ideation and urges, but it's temporary, as the inherent homosexual always struggles with those feelings because they are natural to him, and they often act on those feelings, on the 'down-low" (so to say). Pastors and other religionists who promote CT are, well, grifters operating within the realms of ignorance, emotionalism, Christian arrogance & vanity, and/or heterosexual sensibility. And woe to the ones who try to marry them off. The spouse deserves someone who is completely devoted to him/her, including sexually. People love their pastors. I get that. I give them the side-eye for knowing they're up to no good, even if they're well-meaning, and no doubt some are. But the damage they do is incalculable.They need to promote a moral-ethic based on the Christian Commission -- the commandment to "love your neighbor as yourself." All human relationships must be be centered in love, absent promiscuity & adultery, pedophilia & pederasty, and hate & coercion, otherwise individuals, families, communities and nations are torn asunder.
