Hey - I'm a lesbian Christian girl. We have such different experiences - and feel so differently. But despite all that, I just want to say that I am grateful that you are saying the things of your heart. This was an amazing talk and one that many more folks should listen to - sincere, humorous, practical and truthful. It reframes the conversation to focus on who we are, what is our identity and our intrinsic value - we are adopted sons and daughters of God who loves us very much. It also reminds us how we should respond to God's love, by loving Him and trusting in His plan for each of us and loving our neighbour, including our LBGTQ brothers and sisters; and by sharing the truth that we are called to experience the greater goods of life and not just what the culture tries to impose on us. Great advice for when we engage - listen, just listen.

@JasonEvert hi! Question, would it be acceptable as a Catholic to go to a party celebrating the wedding of a same sex marriage that’s in our family. The party is basically a reception for their marriage and they’re gonna resay their vows to eachother. Aren’t we then condoning that marriage saying we support this marriage? Is that a point that we politely decline to stand for our faith as a Catholic? Tight spot cus it’s a cousin, but want to do what is right for my faith Me and my husband also have a 7 year old, 5 yr old, and 2 year old and don’t want to confuse them with all of it Does my husband just go because it is his cousin? Or should he not even, he feels he should at least go

Yeah I think the naming their sex preferance and their community is what brought this scandals. If the Christian Community was to change to a Gay community because Jesus did say love your nieghbor as yourself, then in actual time it seems like Catholic Church is becoming the GAY CHURCH because the homosexual Bishop and priest that I hear about are still practing. And that we cannot discriminate.
