His guitar is very long.. it has 29 frets and tuned to B standard.. he puts capo on 5th fret so he ends up with standard tuning with 24 frets... Hope it makes sense lol

It's called pinch harmonics. Let the thumb of your picking hand touch the string after hitting it. It needs to touch specific location depending on which note you are fretting. Also, using bridge pickup makes it easier. Hope this helps.. lol
