I bought also a crashed blue XX, and seeing the video I was managed to rebuild it my self, it wasn't too hard, but it took some time and patience, love it bits, best bike I have owned in my life. Safe riding mates.

Regarding resale values, I don't know how it works in the UK, but in the US bikes with salvage titles are worth dirt. Most dealerships refuse to even take them in as trades toward new bikes.

Yup...with a CAT C or D log book it would be worth less than it cost to fix.

other than superficial damage and forks, what other consideration are there? Engine? Transmission? Mileage? Tyres ? Brakes ?

At the end of the day the bike had been crashed, most owners that i know of look for an original Blackbird, Personally i wouldn't have that bike as a gift.........
