I just recently upgraded from an RX100 to the 2023 Highness cb350. And I am enjoying every single bit of the riding experience. Don't know why this bike gets lots of hate from the major auto channels. This just feels like a superior alternative to the RE in every possible way.❤
@THUGPUTIN
@THUGPUTIN Жыл бұрын
It's actually very successful bike in terms of sales when you take into consideration that it's only sold on honda bigwing... Why it gets hate? It's the closest real competitor to RE 350.....Almost same power/torque with displacement makes it a love or hate bike.. People who hate RE for its vibs/feel are buying cb350 and cb350rs... And people who want that vibs/engine feedback goes to RE... RE 350 and cb350 are in it's own segment... Look how all the major channel are comparing triumph to cb350 and re350.. When it reality both these are long stroke engine... RE 350 and Cb 350 are not vfm... It's lifestyle motorcycle and people hate/love it for this reason... Triumph, Jawa, yezdi, bmw/apache 310,ktm 200/250 also comes around same price segment...

How does it feel riding in bumper to bumper traffic? Does it have tall gear ratios, for eg: RE Meteor can handle 30 kmph to 70 kmph in third gear, that way you don't have to keep changing gears all the time. Does this CB350 RS do the same?

I booked the Triumph Speed 400 as soon as the price was announced. I was waiting for the test ride. Meanwhile I decided to take test ride of all 3 of RE 350s and this one. CB350RS was the last bike I test rode and I immediately canceled the booking of Speed 400 and booked this beauty. Will be getting my delivery next week in the lovely red colour.

It slowly crawls to 120. 80-90 is good. Nowadays 100-120 is the ideal speeds while touring. On the Speed 400 you can do triple digit speeds, hang with friends on super bikes and will give better mileage at higher speeds.

The best and most underrated 350 long stroke out there. Lighter than the lightest Enfield, bigger than a classic in size and dimensions, more torque than Enfield 350, 600 kms of fuel tank range! And 45+ average on highways. You can't fault this bike even if you wanted. And sounds like a fucking helicopter!❤

I was extremely confused between Dominar 400 and Highness 350. Test drove both and Dominar gave me the high, but Honda stole my heart. So I purchased the Highness on 6th August and I have done 1200km+ so far. What I like about the Highness: - The exhaust sound - Engine refinement - Looks good - Great ride quality - Extremely light clutch - Smooth gearbox - Good mileage - Good suspension - 15 liters fuel tank capacity - Double stand is present by default What I don't like so much: - Headlight - Stopping power of the rear brake is not great - Seat could have been better, but a cushioned seat cover will do the job It's my first motorcycle and I'm of course thrilled by the experience so far. I feel, Honda should have given this bike a little more power, but that's alright as it's a cruiser motorcycle. If you have any questions sbout thr bike, do let me know :)

5th Gear is crazy on this bike. Atleast you have to cruise above 80kmph to use 5th gear. Once shifted 4th to 5th gear I seems the engine is off or ride a electric bike this type of refined engine developed by honda. Edited: but face one problem for long gear ratio, when I rode uphill on second gear and accelerate it asked for 3rd gear but when i shifted for long gear ratio it can't pull I have to downshift again and have to continue with high revving... I think you got my what I want to say...😊

Recently got a chance to check this in person. I had a lot of anticipation and high expectations from all good things I heard on internet. It felt bigger in size as compared to photos, build quality was really nice, but then everything fizzled out when I was trying to get a feel for myself and I couldn't connect to it, maybe because I love the halycon green classic 350 with a tan colour single seat. CB maybe the better overall bike but the poster bike for me is classic that lives rent free in my head.

Very informative review. I have been using Honda Highness for a year and in my view. It is the best motorcycle for people who love long rides on highways with speeds around 90 to 100kmph. Extremely smooth engine and braking is decent too. Bike rides in a composed manner at these speeds. Returns a mileage of around 40kmph. One needs to understand and adapt to the tall gearing of the motorcycle. Like shifting to 4th gear after 50kmph speed. Shifting to 5th gear can be done after 70kmph speed and if riding with pillion or heavy luggage or when riding against head wind or uphill then shifting to 5th gear might have to be done after 80kmph speed or more too. Understanding this aspect is important for this bike. Else if shifting to 5th gear early will cause engine lugging and not good for engine in the long run. Once this is understood this bike is awesome. In Bangalore city I find it hard to shift to 4th gear mostly. Due to the tall ratio it is absolutely fine to ride in lower gears. The engine doesn't heat at all. It is a very versatile bike especially for both city commuters and who love long distance journeys too. i have ridden multiple times to Kanyakumari from Bangalore in this bike (around 700kmph) comfortably. It takes around 10.5 to 11 hrs to complete this stretch with sufficient breaks for me. Engine makes good thumping sound but almost zero vibrations at any speed.

Service cost falls within 1500- 2000, isn't really right. It all depends on what kind of service your bike is getting, like engine oil replacement, brake pad,other things considered it can easily go beyond 2k. I have an AMC and yet the service cost was about 2800. Excluding labour charge which was waived off due to AMC .

Bought this bike in last November, 1.48 OTR + 5K accessories My daily drive Riding 54 km per day through city, village & state highway ( kerala) Most of the time keeping speed of 50 to 90 ( consider 70kmph avg spd) Getting fuel efficiency of minimum 44 upto 47 in my daily drive ( ones i get 50 in highway ride though) in tank to tank method ( i fill full tank on all Mondays) First service cost 2052rs Second service cost 1500rs Waiting for 3rd & final free service After that probably the service cost around 2500 to 3500 Now 8500km odo ( i have one more two wheeler too,) Back brake pads almost fresh as new( it can only slow down , cant stop) Front brake pad half of its life cycle Tyre condition 90% The things i hate about this motorcycle Gear shifts are too tight for my liking No rpm meter Headlight visibility Wobbling issues ( not for my bike though, still some owners facing the issues) Shorter mirrors

what would you choose between the speed 400 and the rs and why?
@vikasshelke5544
@vikasshelke5544 Жыл бұрын
Biggest reason you get all thrills upto 100kmph which is fine for unpredictable Indian roads and expressway too . Speed 400 would do 150 kmphbeasily but those speeds needs full focus , airstrip like strght roads . You will end up doing 80kmph most of times in any cc bhp bike . The speed cb350 is best at. We are not even considering fuel efficient values between these 2 cb350 35 kmpl against 25 kmpl is big deal for expenditure conscious person however rich he might be. I get 42 kmpl id another topic

Hey strell, I am a beginner and looking for buying my first motorcycle. can you clarify difference between highness and the rs version and which one is a better pick for the beginner?
@peterlaugh375
@peterlaugh375 Жыл бұрын
Hi bro, sorry I am not strell but still let me answer that question for you. Both bikes in my opinion are pretty much same except few minor cosmetic changes. This engine and the bike are great for beginners basically because this bike is made for cruising and occasional spirited riding...the main difference between hgness and rs apart from the cosmetics is that the footpeg positions are a teensy bit more sporty on the rs which would help in cornering. Only thing you have to look is that if you want to look mature and majestic go for the hness if you want to look dashing, sporty, and cool go for the rs simple. Hope you got a small comparison between those two. Cheers😄😊

Hey bro , basically both are the same except some minor things but those things can change your riding experience. Rs has a bit more rear set foot pegs and you’ve to lean a bit more forward to grab the handle bars making it sportier than highness. This makes it more engaging and fun to ride in traffic as it literally glides through traffic . However the highness would be better in highway and for touring as it gives a completely relaxed riding position . Also the RS has a 150 section rear Tyre( basically it’s fat 😂) which makes it better for cornering . And lastly the looks , RS gives a sort of scrambler vibe while highness is a typical classic motorcycle. Hope this helped

As an owner myself, I would like to mention a points, - The rear suspension feels soft with pillion and bottoms out very often. - The sweet sopt is between 80 - 90. The bike feels completely relaxed and milage is also good. (On those long rides I get about 42kmpl(odo indicatd)) - I personally hate the fact that this doesn't come with a tachometer. - Visibility with the stock mirrors are bad. I have been using mirrors from lower range honda bikea. - After market accessory options are limited. - Seat is too hard as per my taste for long saddle hours.

sorry to hear that buddy I hope he rests in peace. But yeah ride safety should always be prioritized regardless of power or speed. Honda engines are really reliable so I could pull out some power out of it if I wanted to through various means, and yes just like you said if the power is enough I won't bother changing it either. It's just that 20 bhp sounds really low on paper.

I agree there is minimal vibration but you forgot to mention wobbling issue which is major concern in this bike above 80 it start to wobble and even honda guys not able to resolve it they’ll mention some solutions which will be of no use and one more thing when it comes to service it’s not 1.5k it’s above 3.5k in Bangalore so kindly mention these points also as many people decide which bike to buy based on your review.

People overtake you when you are indicating right and in middle of the road just at the junction. But if they put their indicator on by accident they drive for rest of the day with it on 😢😅. I had ols bike I put new controls on. Indicator switch eent within a year. Mechanic said "use" was the problem. 😂. Obviously just bad unit but it summed it up. Folk don't put lights on here to save the bulbs and battery 😂
