Solid vid, I just ordered new clutch for my 1996 cb750 nighthawk. One thing I read though, new friction plates should be soaked in oil for 24 hours before installing, so the cork material aborbs more oil before they are pressed together in the assembly.

Instructive, thanks, I just bought this bike, from '93, with 55K on the clock, a red one, like the retro style, a question, your engine block shines quite silvery, did you spray paint it in that color? My own engine block has become somewhat darker...after all those years

Hello Ray, as far as I know they made engines silver up until 94' and the they switched to black engine color. Mine is as original, I just scrubbed it a lot :)) peace

Where did you source the regular locknut from?

Hey hey, from this website www.cmsnl.com/?locale=en-us&gclid=Cj0KCQiAgaGgBhC8ARIsAAAyLfFZ62S6UAZVZYBBdBBoY6ptsgsX-nk0KHnxqbpZo5_MWNUrMU7Lm2AaAqQoEALw_wcB All original parts you need :)

@The curly fixing guy Is it true?? Honda superceded the part# and now it's a regular hex nut? Still have to get the old one off.
@thecurlyfixingguy7077 Жыл бұрын
@@petev.9357 Yes sir, it's true, now it's a hex nut. Way much easier to manipulate, no special tools needed. I suggest to do as I did: chop a ratchet bit with an angel grinder and then use an impact wrench to take it of. This would be the cheapest way I see now

HOLA COMPAÑERO, TENGO UNA HONDA CBRC42 DEL 94, ME GUSTARÍA QUE HAGAS UN VIDEO EXPLICANDO DETALLES ACERCA DE LA MECÁNICA DE LA MOTO, TU EXPERIENCIA COMO PROPIETARIO, QUE ES LO QUE NORMALMENTE FALLA, ¿EL MOTOR GASTA MUCHO ACEITE? Y QUE DIFERENCIAS HAY ENTRE EL MOTOR RC42 Y EL MOTOR F2 DE HONDA

I think the first and the last friction disk should be different then the rest.
@thecurlyfixingguy70773 жыл бұрын
To be honest, that's right actually, in the service manual is what it says as well but after I ordered the parts, I've noticed (after receiving them) that it's only 2 different friction disks and I've installed them like this and everything is working just fine for more than one year now and if you take a look into the service manual friction disk A and B look just the same
@ekimandersom44783 жыл бұрын
@@thecurlyfixingguy7077 Ok i ordered the disks from TRW and noticed that 2 are different than the rest, thats what made me check the manual. Either way it will work.
