Great work. Love the paint job. I would have suggested to make the shock protector sections of the front mud flap red too instead of silver/ aluminum. That would have helped with the theme of the bike a lot more IMHO. Still, awesome looking. It's the first "black edition" I've seen that has been decently modded too.

Thanks a lot for the suggestion. I really appreciate when people do give their opinion the way you did and that’s one of the reason why I chose to publish this video. Actually this design is my idea but I’ve been slightly helped by the guy in charge of the design at the paint shop I’ve to and we were agree about the fact that more red would be too much. Plus the fact that this alloy part match the other alloy parts all around the bike. But once again thanks for the suggestion, not the look I’m aiming for but would still be nice I think.

I really should have made a video of this mod. It might probably have helped a lot of people since the new headlight is really being disliked by a lot of 2021 CB1000R owners. This mod was the first one I did on this bike, and the hardest one by far.

Hello, how was the brake expansion tank installed? Did it have to be vented afterwards? was the right holder included?

Hello, Sorry but the rear brake reservoir has been installed by my dealership as well as the plate holder. As far as I can remember, I think this kind of mod requires the master cylinder to be vented, but not sure. What I’m sure about is the holder included in the package is the one they used.

You can of course use it for your CB. Actually I didn’t did it by myself, this if a professional paint job. The black mate is the same as the one on the front fender. The red is a candy red. Hope that helps you.

Thanks 😊 I’m not having any vibration after the mirrors end installation, but I’m not having a clear rear vision neither anymore 🙄. I now have to move my arms a little bit to see the mirrors since they are located under the bar and not over unlike most people do. It seems my survival instinct is lower than my need of style 😅

Haroon I changed the mirrors to something similar and unfortunately I have a problem with vibrations ... do you know what the reason could be? When I was riding over 180 km / h, one mirror (glass only) fell off due to vibration

@@kedziart actually the inner part of the bar end I used is made out of rubber. I guess it’s probably the reason why I’m not having any issue. The screw hasn’t move from one inch since the day I installed my new mirrors.

It’s the MIVV MK3 painted in full black. You should check my other video, the link is a the end of this one. I changed my exhaust for an Ixrace DC2 and I find it way more stylish with the carbon touch ;-)

Bonjour Christophe, Merci mais ce n’est pas la dernière version des modifications sur ma moto. Je t’invite à regarder les autres vidéos, elle a bien évolué depuis. Concernant la perso, c’est une peinture, tu ne peux pas atteindre un tel résultat avec du covering :-)

Je pense d’ailleurs qu’elle l’est davantage désormais que j’y ai apporté la touche finale, à savoir un « belly pan » permettant notamment de cacher en partie la gamelle d’échappement disgracieuse. Une vidéo est prévue à ce sujet, je pense la sortir d’ici deux semaines, le temps finir deux trois choses.

Quick question about that…does the old headlight perform like the new one? I mean is it still a LED light and how can you see well at night? Thank you and really nice bike!!

Hey, thanks for your comment dear Swiss neighbor ;-) First I can’t unfortunately tell you about the way the old headlight performs comparing to the new one since I’m not riding at night anymore. But IMO it’s doing well, it’s a led light like the new one. I bought it at my Honda motorcycle dealership and it wasn’t cheap at all 😅. But I think the cb650 headlight is exactly the same but cheaper. Still over 400 euros😱 if I remember well. And you need to know it’s not plug and play, you’ll need some adjustments to make it fit and create a kind of electrical “gateway” between the motorcycle plug and the headlight socket since they changed it :-/

Je l’ai faite faire chez NMB Design. Ils sont sur Nice. Tu viens avec ton cahier des charges, ton design, tu leur envoies ta selle et une semaine après (en général) ils te renvoient ta selle modifiée. C’est la 2nde selle que je fais chez eux, je conseille ils sont très bons 👍

Hello, Non pas du tout. Mais c’est peut être différent sur mon modèle, il s’agit du dernière en date, 2021, et de légers changements ont été réalisés au niveau du support de plaque.

Actually it makes a lots of sound during 1 minute, while the engine is getting hot and then… nothing 😅. For some reason I’m changing my silencers for an Ixrace DC2. I got it painted in black and will put it on the bike by the end of the month. I’ll do a video with the new exhaust and the new mirrors as well by the way.

I’m quite sure the CB650R headlight is the same. Give me some time to find the connectors. I think I bought them on aliexpress. I don’t like ordering on this website but it’s was the only place where it was available. And the connector finish is ok.

It's the 8 female connector. Don't just trust me and give your bike's connectors a look ;-) Unplug it is pretty easy, the only things you need are 2 hands.

Alors honnêtement c’est le mod dont je suis le plus fier notamment parce qu’il était pas super facile. Les connecteurs ne sont pas les mêmes j’ai donc dû utiliser un “pont” entre les le nouveau phare et le faisceau que je ne voulais pas couper.

Concernant le support, ce n’est pas exactement le même, mais réussir à faire tenir le phare de 2018-2020 sur le support de 2021 n’est pas insurmontable. Je me suis rendu compte trop tard que j’aurai dû me filmer pour en faire un tuto.

In the video, at 03:00 I explain why. I changed it because I hate the stock one. This headlight is from the 2018 edition of the CB1000R. It’s one of the mods I did.
