I'm 70, so I am jealous. But I remember those nights in the pub. We would take our Michelin maps and plan our routes across France and the continent, and look at the ferry crossings (no tunnel in those days). Come spring, the equivalent of cuckoos was the outdoor display of tents outside the camping shop - canvas tents which weighed a ton!
@TinsonTour2 жыл бұрын

125 vs 650. Couldn’t agree more. Very recently riding a Honda CB125R and Zontes G1Scrambler and loved both. Did my DAS on a Honda CB650R which I quite liked. Got back on the 125s to practice and they were ruined for me as the difference was just astonishing. Decided the that I had better pass MOD 2 which I did two weeks ago. Bought an SV650 a few months ago, (before my DAS) and rode for the first time last weekend. What a bike. Not at all surprised Tin’s liked it. It is a great bike. Regards

You looked great Faye, when I went back to riding after a very very long layoff (over 20 years) even though I had a full license I bought a 125 to get back into riding and build a bit of confidence. I had the 125 for six months before selling it and getting a z400, which I love to bits. But it still took me about 600 miles before I felt as comfortable on that as I did on the 125. It was not as if I felt like I had bought wrong bike, I knew the issues were in my head. You have made a bigger jump from a 125 to a 650, and you know you have bought the right bike for you, so don’t worry at all (not that I think you are) because with every ride you do on it, it will get better and better.

What a bastard, all that way and no coffee. Still you got the ride in, Big H got it's tyres wet for the first time in awhile and Faye clocked up some miles. You guys should do the NC500 or just the west coast of Scotland. head up to Carlisle take a left and head to Dumfries, Then take the A75 and follow it around till Stranraer, then the A77 to Girvan, Ayr and Prestwick where I was born then up to Kilmarnock, take the A71 to Strathaven and if you decide you hate being in Scotland the M74 back to England. Shouldn't take long as the UK isn't much bigger than Tasmania so only a couple of hours😂🤣🤣🤣
