That’s correct, I think the main culprit in the noise are the tyres. I got Yokohama tyres and they improved the ride considerably. Lekin noise mein koi khaas improvement nahi hua.

But after watching lots of reviews of local as well as international, finally have decided to go with full floor with boot + all door double layer damping of CTK or Dr. Artex brand. Anyways big fan of 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol ivtech. It's still running so smooth and noiseless even after 10 year. Just awesome.

I have the same smt 2011 Honestly the legroom in the back is really good......it’s been driven for 150000 still smooth little bit rust in the boot but it’s manageable....one question tyres are due for a change do you suggest to go for upsize or same size since it’s really old...if then which brand you would suggest.....great review

Thanks for the comment. I would recommend to go with the stock size. Michelin is best if in your budget. Else, you may go with Yokohama tyres. I have been using Yokohama - the ride has got better and the noise has reduced. Grip is fantastic too. Hope this helps.

Please ensure service record is available (By doing this mileage would also be cross checked) and it should not have a major accident in the past. I bought when it had clicked 93K KMs and at 1.55 lacs installed Lovato CNG and already clocked 176000 KMs, it is a wonderful no non sense car, you can keep using for 50 years :)....I am just not ready to sell it. Go for the CNG as well, if you dont wish to sell the car for 5 years. Ensure to have heighted pads at the rear. The car hardly lags power in cng. CNG works the best in honda city. Its a sexy car.

I picked a used Honda city 2012 model, very happy with the 1st honda, however I am getting very bad FE with AC On in bumper to bumper traffic, just wanted to know if this is normal ? I come from Maruti cars driving all my life and this was a shocker. If this is abnormal, what should I get it checked ? I loaded fuel for 3k, which was approx 30ltrs and it got over in 2 days and I had covered around 90km, fuel low light lit on. Also I did oil change after I got the vehicle, I went for shell helix 0w30 fully synthetic. So the 3rd day I didn't use AC, I started driving sedately and I could see fuel not dropping down, trip meter was now showing 12kmpl compared to 6kmpl before. But the moment I put the AC on, fuel is sucked very fast and I don't hear the AC fan stopping at all, it keeps running continuously.

Difficult to gauge FE In bumper to bumper traffic, it can go quite low in these situations. My suggestion is to do a tank full method test on Highway first with and without AC, post which you can check the FE on Highway. This will give you the correct understanding. 2nd suggestion: Not sure if you have visited the Honda service centre, if not then please do visit it the FE turns out to be really bad. As far as your engine fan js concerned, it keeps running quite a lot in Honda city 3rd generation, this seems normal to me. Though suggest to get it checked once at Honda.

Difficult to comment for me, I suggest to take this vehicle to Honda service Center to get it checked, 1.40 lakh is a good run, hence better to get it checked and then decide. If service centre response is positive, a well maintained vehicle can be bought.
