Drove Honda City for 9 years..... consistent average of 15-20 in city and over 25 on highways....I know people will laugh over me but I can send pics of milometer readings if anyone wish so. I replaced it with Virtus AT topline just for the reason that I was bored of driving same car. My takeways are: 1) Honda is more comfortable and no-nonsense car 2) Virtus has very stiff suspension 3) Honda has a better AC 4) Virtus won't give mileage of more than 10 kmpl in city or 16-17 on highways 5) Virtus is fun to drive but very tough on pocket

Yes brother obviously it is manageable. I live in shimla and traffic here is a lot different because here we have to deal with steep slope also and continuously pick up the car in steep slope on traffic. This is way too difficult than picking up again and again in straight road. So no worries go for manual.

Brother I have driven 3rd generation of honda city 1.5 vx with CVT and the performance of that car used to be very good and easy to drive but I have not driven 1.0 Automatic from vag group but I think it will lack performance due to its heavy weight in hilly areas. Rest I will be able to make a clear reply about this whenever I get to drive a 1.0TSI Automatic in skoda or VW.

CVT is a bit annoying on hills. I have driven the 1.0L manual and the power delivery is much better than CVT boxes, can't say about the torque converter but dsgs (in 1.5 tsi) shift too early so you have to drive in manual or sport mode so it doesn't upshift at low speeds quickly.

Atleast you will be free till 15 years and second hand cars get so many issues like tyre, suspension etc after 5-6 years. I bought Honda City v Mt in 13.5 lakhs jan 2024, 2023 manufacturing

Yeah bro no car manufacturer is bringing new models of their cars to India. They usually sell us their 2-3 years old models in India. Upgraded versions come to India after they have been sold out in foreign regions for 2-3 years.

Aur mujhe aapse janna hai ki gari ki handling performance braking sab kaisi rahengi kyunki Maine aapke lagbhag har vdo mein dekha hai ki aap gari ko kaafi acche se tarike se test, pull karte ho. Mujhe itni bhi koi jaldi nahi hai sir aap try kariyega 2019-2020 wali model ko. Aapse ek bar kya hai kya nahi hai gadi ko chalane mein confirmation mil jayega to mein sure ho jaunga aur agar positive response aaaya aapke taraf se to le lunga

​​@@raktimborah2295Bhai mere paas hai 2020 petrol baleno. It is good hatchback but not enjoyable to drive on such hilly roads. Due to its light weight sometimes on tight curves it feels like it will drift (sometimes it does drift from the backside). Otherwise braking is good, power is good, initial pick-up is so good. Baki you know how the build quality of Maruti is.

If you are planning to buy a used hatchback you can go for i20 just before this current generation. It is far better than Baleno.

Outdated interior and looks is the reason people are not looking for city nowadays and going for slavia, virtus, verna. Honda city sales were only 850 last month whereas other c segment sedans sales were around 1400 1500. They should bring cosmetic upgrades

Bro apart from the engine, the interior is the reason I love City over Slavia, Virtus and Verna. Everything is in it's place, especially love the AC controls. It's simple, airy with no unnecessary design elements made with scratchy creaky plastics. It has that classy build to last luxurious vibe. It may not look upmarket to some but it is an inoffensive no nonsense design.

huge personal opinion and experience here, Interior of this car is absolute bullcrap and the touchscreen is so bad that I might even cry operating it, the only thing good about this car for me is the tall gearing and how it roars instead of actually moving lol. I have a 1.5 Kushaq MT and its much more sophisticated as far as the ride goes, but the city has that fun, which is exaggerated in the Elevate except they reduced the gear ratios a bit. The outdated looks and the not so good other things about the city is what robs away the customers from Honda. City used to be a premium sedan if you look into the past 2 gens, but this is now achieved by slavia, virtus and even the makeshift smart refrigerator (verna). City needs an update real fast or else honda will just dig its own grave in India. They've abused their brand value as much as they could but this won't last forever. Also amazing video! Keep this up. Edit : The seats are kind of horrible, side support and lumbar support is missing especially for longer routes.

Also for the service, service is apparently much cheaper than the previously owned W-RV than the Kushaq 1.5 and I really can't digest the fact lol... The W-RV needs a service every 10,000 kms and takes around 9k and my kushaq needs 15,000 kms before it needs a service, costing around 7-8k. (in the service package as of now). make the calculations for 30k kms. I can see how much skoda and vw has improved in their servicing

This is my second Honda City 5th Gen ZX CVT which I bought in 2021. My earlier City was 2010 VX CVT model which I had for 11 years without a single spot of rust in a seaside city like Mumbai, so I do not agree with your views!! It all depends on how you maintain your car!!

@@roh6529 By maintenance I meant, at least what I did was to immediately repaint any exposed metal due to scratches and periodic polishing of the car (maybe once a year). Because the body was so clean and unblemished I got a very good price for a 11 year old car.
