From the video i see the connections are 2. One goes to the manifold pressure sensor apparently so the racechip knows the manifold pressure at any given time and the other one goes to the boost pressure sensor So you can raise the boost level... My question is... How to you control the timing and the fuel map ? How to you know the afr if its reach or lean? Or you just raise the boost the ecu can actually control its self and call it a day?

You should be fine. With the smart entry and start it shouldn't be a problem you don't have anything you need to deactivate.

Hi, I have 2016 Honda Civic X 1.5T (Automatic Transmission) it’s an Asian model so we have shift peddles on the steer wheel. I’m thinking to install “RaceChip” into my car, can you please tell me how reliable this product is as compared with other tuners such as Hondata and Ktuner. I’m sure those are a bit over tuning technology. But still has a Base Map that at one point it looks like maybe it’s going to be safe. But I think maybe RaceChip could be best. I’m actually curious that if I install RaceChip into my car, are there any disadvantages such as “Knocking” or put lethal pressure on the engine or turbo? I just want my car to get more horsepower but it should be reliable as well. Please provide me a safe suggestion what you think about I should go for! Lastly, I’d like to know that the RaceChip provides with +5 base tune. So what differences are we looking at from 174bhp to what number above? And if I go up is that okay? Also, is it user friendly like let’s say if I don’t want to use on a normal daily ride so can I disconnect it just like that and how would I do that also..? Thanks! :)

Our product is not a flash like the others you listed. It's a piggyback style system that works with the stock ECU. Just to let you know there is no automatic transmission for the civic in any country. Only CVT or manual available in usa. Paddle shifters doesn’t make it an AT.

In general, RaceChip is one of the largest and most experienced Honda tuner in the world. Especially, the Shanghai office and all Asian resellers are tuning thousands of Civics every year. We have engineers on every relevant continent (America, Europe, Asia) with a lot of experience in tuning local spec Hondas. We can't comment on specific competitors, but in general, there are different approaches how you can tune a car. RaceChip is a piggyback system that is installed in the engine bay. The signals from the sensors are optimized and based on these signals, the ecu then increases the power. The other way is directly changing the software on the ecu using remapping or a flashing device (what you are referring to). There is not “the best solution” (for both technologies, there are good any bad companies). Both have advantages and disadvantages. It depends on what you want. E.g. RaceChip does not remove any security systems. Some think this is an advantage (because it is the safest way of tuning and good for longevity) while others perceive it as disadvantage (you can get even more power than +50 HP when you remove those safety systems). RaceChip is a safe and convenient way to significantly increase the power of stock and lightly modified cars. If you want to go all the way (upgraded turbocharger, intercooler, …), a custom ecu remapping makes more sense to release even more power. A non-customized reflash of course combines the disadvantages of both technologies. One of the disadvantages of a flash is that it will always remain visible, because of the flash counter of the ecu (even when flashed back to stock). This is basically no different than burger tuning jb4, buddy club sport chip or AFE scorcher, it’s a piggy back that plugs to the existing sensors and tricks the ecu into reading different parameters and you will be stuck with whatever tune is loaded in these piggy backs with no custom tuning capabilities. Ktuner and Hondata on the other hand will flash your OEM ecu and change the ecu parameters, they come with preloaded cookie cutter basemaps and are also capable of custom tuning if you start modding beyond your basic bolt ons
