In my opininion its the ideal tutorial for those who have this model of honda civic fn2/fk3 with Honda OEM navigation system , if you follow all the steps , you won’t have any problems . If you can’t switch to cd/aux, change the cables between them in that Y extension cable ,navigation cable with this bluethooth device and that shoud do the trick

If you go into ebay and type in Honda Civic Y cable and aux adapter generally they come up, but make sure you contact the seller with your make model and reg so they know which model and headunit they are providing for as each model of Honda vary. I do apologise i dont have any model number or specific fitment details but please search for an adapter called the Y cable. Many thanks.

Hi. I have followed your instructions using the exact same AUX kit but mine doesn't work. I can't switch to AUX from the radio for some reason, it works only once after I disconnect the battery. After that it will not work anymore, it doesn't matter if I have USB or phone plugged in. Can you help me please? Thank you

Brother Sellak. The issue you may be getting is maybe due to having switch wire not correctly being adapted to your stereo, its almost like a remote cable generally blue in colour but maybe yellow on the honda wiring diagram not sending a permanent feed to your aux adapter. This is why after you switch your car off and on again the blue light goes out. Secondly if disconnecting your main battery it turns on again, then fit the battery again after disconnecting and then only plug in your original stereo adapter cable to the back of the stereo then turn the key without starting the engine but only into accessory mode which i believe is 2 clicks, then turn on the stereo again and plug in the new Y cable and Aux cable, press aux mode then it should show a blue light on your aux adapter but dont turn on the engine but simply whilst everything is connected switch off the stereo using the stereo power button and then take the key out and lock the car. This should fix all of the issues.

@@kostas_and1984 ok first disconnect everything, then reconnect and only switch your ignition to power on but dont start the engine. Now press aux and plug in your aux when you see the adapters blue light come on. Put the volume up on your media device and then your cars stereo volume up. If you do not get any sound then switch off your ignition and then start the cars engine and do same procedure Failing this you will need to purchase another cable along side this called Honda Y cable adapter. They are cheap to buy and generaly quick delivery.

Ok sexondly please check your fuses on the rear of your stereo. Then if no luck unplug all your cables from your stereo. Then put car into accessory mode which is basically just turn the key but dont start the car then switch off completely then lock the car for around 1 minute any stand outside the car as seat occupancy can cause electrics to still be running. Now unlock then car and plug in your stereo and autoleads but only put into accessory mode and select the car into accessory mode and put the volume to midway and just tap the end of your aux cable to see if it makes a static noise. Now switch off your car completely and start the engine and plug your aux cable into your media device and it should work. If it doesnt work please contact your autolead supplier and explain the situation as it may be that there is no remote power from ignision. If this is the case then you have a few options, test for power upon ignition by checking for light on the converter cable/aux block. It should be a green light. If theres no light then most probably its a faulty cable or wired wrong. If its wired correctly then you can run a fused power cable from fusebourd ignition. Run this upto the power supply to the adapter and check for a green light. This may work.

Hey mate, dunno if you're still about but I just this this to my civic, 2006 June model without sat nav, so it doesn't have the cd changer. I plug this adapter directly into the stereo and I get no speakers and the adapter doesn't work when I press cd changer. Have you tried this adapter with your cd changer unplugged but still with the y connecter? I'm wondering if you did and it worked, because I can't see why a direct connection didn't work. The only thing I can think of is it's not reading properly without the y connector or the dvd changer is required in someway for the adapter to get its power correctly? I'm scratching my head with this one.
@d4main13 жыл бұрын
I would contact the supplier as there are many varients. I dont beleive you will need the Y connector as there is no satnav stereo within your dash or headunit, i would leave the stereo out and increase the volume without reinserting back your headunit during install and turn the ignition into accessory mode and increase the volume with the aux plugged in to double check if it works before screwing everything back together.

Assalamu alaikum brother Umais and others who replied to you. I have a civic 2009 and my MP3 player also has a max volume is 40. Files that I download from youtube and then convert them into MP3 and listen, I found that some of the files from youtube have already low volume, in that case, it doesn't matter if your device's and your car player's volumes are full but MP3 files will still play with low volumes. Therefore, what I do, after I download and convert the files into MP3, I use the software and increase their volume very high, not too much, then when I play in my car player, I just need to keep the volume less than even 10 and it plays loud enough.

Depending on your head unit the cables made very their one specific to my 1 in the video as mentioned does work perfectly fine I would recommend you contact your parts advisor with your make and model number of your stereo as I am a little concerned as to why yours is not working if push comes to shove please call a auto electrician who deals with car electrics as you may need to have a remote cable ran to your auto lead or head unit To Signal your head unit to enable Auxiliary to switch on and off. Before you do all this please disconnect everything By switching off your Ignition 1st by taking key out and when taking of all cables from the back of the stereo and then re connect everything then put your key in 2 accessory mode by switching the key round and till it clickz once then click auxillary button one and turn the volume upto have way then connect your device making sure its not on full volume on your device. Then play some audio through your device with the lead connected. Now switch off your ignition and take off the cable from your media device playing the audio. Now lock the car by standing outside of the car until all power is dead even the seat occupancy is disengaged. After 1 minute now unlock your car and enter it then start your car and plug in your device then press aux and try to increase both your car volume and media device volume to half way each so you can determine whats happening. Hopefully it now works and if you still have issues this may be down to your headunit. There are many different manufacturers of the same headunit due to electronic updates. Also check if your cable is for a dvd unit or a standard unit without double din or satnav if its a single unit.

Ah i see, then i would firstly check if your headunit has the facility for Aux input first, then check with your parts supplier to see if you can use a wiring harness or a auto lead or adamp the existing wiring by crimping onto the back of your stereo to adapt it to aux input, for this there are various methods such as buying a after market external aux adapter. Easiest method would be contact your supplier to check if your stereo is Aux compatible. Many thanks for looking.
