Honda Civic Door Lock Cylinder Replace Tips & Hacks 2003 Coupe

There are several videos on this, but i'm gonna give you close-ups & tips to get thru some of the hardest parts of the job that i have not seen explained. The door lock On My 2003 civic coupe has not been working for a while, so it's time to operate myself or pay the man $400.

I would never have figured out that for reassembly, the first step is to install that pesky retainer clip on the plastic exterior door handle's cylinder barrel. Thanks so much!

So the retainer clip it's what's holding the cylinder I done took everything apart still aint comin out?

Thanks.... but I found that the clip on my 2005 was installed in the opposite orientation.... you couldn't pull it down from the bottom. I had to remove the rubber swipe moulding, and then the window in order to remove the clip from the top of the door through the window opening slot.

The hardest part is last clips of lock ☺️
