Step by step video on how to remove the rear door handle on a Honda Civic. This video is applicable to all 2006 2007 2008 2009 2010 2011 sedan models. Removing the door panel will be necessary to access the bolts holding the handle on. First remove all the screws and clips from the door panel. Pry off the interior door panel using a panel removal tool. (link Below) Once the panel is removed, access to the door handle's mounting bolts will be visible.
Detach the Handle: Locate the bolts securing the rear door handle to the door frame. Once you've identified them, use a 10mm socket to loosen and remove them. Be careful not to drop them inside the door panel as the tool gnomes hide inside there and your bolt will be lost for all of eternity. This will allow you to detach the door handle from the door.
Disconnect Linkage rod and backing plates. Then handle can be removed from outside of car.
