Welcome back to another video of Owner series. In this video we will take owner's Honda Civic Rebirth (Civic 9th generation) for general Engine tuning. The owner recently bought this Civic and it is a 2014 model. The body condition of this Civic Rebirth is very good but mechanically it has many problems. The car's catalytic converter was messed up which had to be changed. this Civic rebirth is giving very poor fuel average and engine is not working optimally. we took the civic to mechanic to give it a general tune up and we were not prepared for the shocking discovery. Lets find out in this video that when previous owners do not take care of their car's maintenance then what are the results.

We have doubts on its trunk but other than that you can see the exterior/interior condition in the video. That's why previous owners reversed the meter to 52k and if someone sees the car they will believe the reading which is a sad reality of our current market.

That R18 is trashed it probably had multi grade oil changes with 10-15000km change interval looking at the condition of the rocker arms,cam and the valve cover the car was not taken care of engine wise no doubt and the amount of sludge and varnish is built up in that engine this will never give the amount of fuel economy what a clean R18 well taken care engine would be able to give best of luck to you guys for the restoration

5w 40 is best, change current coils lazmi, add ceratec and fuel injector cleaner by liqui moli

Engine noise is too much, do check fuel filter and change the gear oil as it needs to be changed at the interval of 40k hope u trace every single fault with this car, just need some love and care.

Wrong oil grade should be10w/40 with such 200k milage

Keep oem grade oil even if engine is driven 300k or more unless until engine starts burning oil. And even then putting thicker oil will cause more problems. One should resolve the problem ( mostly engine rings become weak ) rather than going for thicker grade oil as variable valve timing engines don't do well with thicker oils.
