Bruce’s Suspension or Bruce Triplet can really help front and rear suspension on these 250F bikes.

I have a '21 model and love it. Did the Bruce's Suspension front fork upgrade and added Hagon rear shock. It rides great. Good video 👍

If I'm 1.85 tall and weigh 170 pnds, this bike would be good for me!? Should I put in a lifting kit?
@DirtRider22a8 ай бұрын
You might need taller bars or bar risers to feel comfortable, we weigh about the same so may want to do stiffer fork springs which I ended up doing. But it will work for you

Can u wheelie it with just throttle or do you need to dump the clutch? And in what gear do you wheelie?
@DirtRider22a6 ай бұрын
1 and 2nd can wheelie without clutch pretty easy, 3rd if there is a good bump to hit, only use the clutch if needed because of the speed I’m going. So clutch is kinda situational

@@DirtRider22a thanks for the answer. I know how to ride a dirt bike well but am relatively new to riding them. I have this bike and am wanting to try some little jumps. Any tips?

do you know why my 250 f has a clunking sound when applying hard rear brake pressure? it almost sounds like the clunk it makes when shifting. any thoughts would be appreciated. chain tension is in-spec

Usually valves will tighten up over time but it’s possible, I had planned to check mine at the 50hr mark and then every 50hr thereafter
@DirtRider22a Жыл бұрын
@@Ky-iz8py I’m not sure what the total range is for them but being over nominal spec by only .02mm isn’t enough to worry about, only .0008” of an inch. And normally valves get tighter with time. If the chain has gotten badly stretched that could cause the excess noise tho

Hey I've never owned a dirt bike but have always wanted one. I've ridden motorcycles for 15 years now. Would this be a good starter bike? Just looking to go trail riding an have some fun. Can you go off jumps with it?
@DirtRider22a Жыл бұрын
Depending on your size and weight, it can handle some jumps. The weak link is the front suspension is a little soft for big jumps but bbr motorsports sells stiffer fork springs for just over $100 and they are easy to install, only takes about 15min to do. I have a video of me racing it at an arena cross race on my channel. That may give you a better idea what it can handle stock, in that race I pushed it as hard as the suspension would allow for more or less. But yes, it would make a great first dirtbike overall

@@DirtRider22a I’m 5’9 170lb Not looking to hit monster jumps but I don’t want to not hit any jumps lol $100 to fix that issue? Nice Thanks man

@@RagingRapids311 I’m also around 170 pounds, stock front suspension will work fine until you get more comfortable, then if you want to push it a little further you could look into upgrading. The rear suspension is adequate for our weight. Good luck if you get one, great machines for what they are 👍

I’ll eventually do the bbr springs, I’ve used them on a klx140L in the past and was happy with it, also pretty easy to install, I have a install video on my channel about it. Maybe a 20min job

Did the bbr front springs about a week ago, perfect. Didn’t change the fork oil, just pulled the stock springs out and dropped in the bbr’s. World of difference. I did a install video for it as well

I just turned 18 and thinking about buying a bike, I am experienced in riding just never owned. Im not sure if this bike will be too big for me or not im 5’6 120 pounds, what would you recommend?
@DirtRider22a Жыл бұрын
Maybe a Kawasaki klx140. They offer it in multiple different wheel sizes so if you could find a dealer where you could sit on them then you could find one that is comfortable for your height. And those bikes weigh a lot less than the crf250f does

Would u consider a 250r over a 250f
@DirtRider22a Жыл бұрын
For the type of riding I’m doing, no. I grew up racing mx and have raced everything from Honda, ktm, Yamaha, had 2 strokes, 4 strokes. I’m now getting older, fatter, and mostly just want something that’s low maintenance that I can trail ride with friends on the weekend and putt the kids around the property on during the week. But, if you want to go fast, then sure the 250r would be a better option
