So, to sum it up, after the first try with 86 gas - the meter was almost dead on accurate (showing 74 mpg and the pump/distance calculation coming at 73.7). And the fuel consumption translates in about 3,2 l/100km if you are from Europe and 31.4 km/l if you are from India. Pretty economical, I would say. Very good video, I like that kind of stuff :D

I have used this bike on and off road but it is primarily my commute bike. Going just through town and back roads much of our speed limits are 40-45. So between 40 and 50 average my instant mpg shows 82-85 mpg. I'm 150 lbs at 5'10". When I sometimes take interstate and running 75-80 with return trip back through town lower speeds I have been as low as 76.1 mpg. If you want a bike for fuel economy you will be quite pleased buying this!

Good stuff! I’m looking forward to the next video. I run non ethanol premium in my tw200 and it not so much for the mileage but for the reduction in engine noise. It really quieted the little bugger up. I love your videos and keep up the great work!

Really enjoy your channel and thanks to you, I will be picking up my new 300 Rally next week. As there are no test rides offered by Honda anymore (at least in Southern Ontario), it is a hard decision to make. There were no bikes available at dealerships as well to even sit down and get a feel for. Your videos and passion for the CRF bikes really helped me to take the plunge. Thanks again! Could you please let me know if your 250L 'seat concept' seat would fit the new 300L? If not then any plans to find a better seat?
@WOODZMAN
@WOODZMAN 3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watchin, I’m glad I can help encourage you. They are great bikes, both the 250L and 300L. Unfortunately the Seat Concepts seat off of the 250L will not fit the 300L, I sure wish it would. I do have plan to get one for the 300L when they become available.

New Sub to your channel and want to say how I am enjoying your videos! I bought a used 300L last fall and am waiting for winter to end up here in Ontario Canada. Your content is giving me great ideas of what to expect with this bike and the things I can do to personalize it. I would like to know if changing from stock tire size to the 120/90-18 has made any difference to your gas mileage and if you kept the stock rear sprocket or swapped it for another tooth size?
@WOODZMAN
@WOODZMAN Жыл бұрын
Hi Stewart and thanks for watchin! I could t tell any difference at all on the fuel mileage when changing the tire size. Changing the sprocket might make a little difference but not much. I had changed the sprocket size on my 250L but I went back to stock and I have stayed with stock on the 300L. It just seems to be the perfect gearing for me

My 2021 300L CRF Honda I average around 54 miles to the gallon. But I am also riding mostly off-road through sand roads. So I came on here to see what everybody else was getting on the highway because I have no idea because I don't ride very much highway. 70 plus miles to the gallon is pretty impressive. I'm about to put mine up for sale only have 100 miles on it I like the bike but it's just not what I want. I want something smaller and more nimble.

The CRF250/300's are tuned for 87. 91 just gives you more resistance to detonation. You don't gain anything from running premium vs regular when you are tuned for regular.

@@TwoAMBlacktop do you know when a vortex ecu going to be available for it?
@TwoAMBlacktop
@TwoAMBlacktop 3 жыл бұрын
@@Tacoexplorer I don't know. Probably won't get one. The only ones they offer available for Honda are for the 250R, 450L/RL/R and the TRX450/700. Totally different engine family. Most of the CRF250L/300L engine products are more closely related to the CB/CBR line since that's where the engine comes from.
@Tacoexplorer
@Tacoexplorer 3 жыл бұрын
@@TwoAMBlacktop hope this is not true. The Thailand 300L comes stock with 31 hp vs 27 hp for the USA model. There are definitely more power to gain from this engine.
@TwoAMBlacktop
@TwoAMBlacktop 3 жыл бұрын
@@Tacoexplorer I think they gathered those numbers from the CBR300R making 30.4 horsepower. The CRF’s will always make a slightly lower number due to tuning for off-road capabilities. The story is in the power curves and not so much in the peak output.

Not many (if any) around here either and 2020 250s are priced almost $1200 over MSRP. I can only imagine how much they would charge for a 300L.
