When draining the transmission oil I usually fold a piece of tin foil a couple times into a little slide do it runs under the shifter and into the pan

The whole quart? There’s a fill bolt for a reason and it takes less than half a court

If you're talking about the tranny side... 1. There's no weep plug on the stock clutch cover 2. It takes 750ml, not less than 500ml 3. Everyone knows you can put a whole liter in and it will be fine.

@@TheGamersRace I know this post was over a year ago but I just bought a 2005 Honda crf450r for a steal I ordered a oil change kit on eBay with the same exact stuff this guy used will it actually be fine it really won’t hurt my bike if I put the whole quart in?

How much oil did u put ??? In the transmission I put on my crf450r 2011 same bottle u have sea 80w /85w I made up to 532ML you think i put alot or i need to puto more thanks

The mechanics at my local honda dealership recommend me to put 800-1000 ML of transmission oil for my 2006 CRF450X so I ended up going with 900, However, after doing some research since your CRF450 is an R model and slightly newer being a 2011 the recommend transmission oil for your bike is right around 590 ML. I hope that helps a bit.

for parts it can avg from 600-1000 and depending on what shop you choose to do it you'll also have to throw that into consideration but there's plenty of videos out there showing how to do a bottom end rebuild if you plan on doing it yourself which I would recommend giving a try to save money on labor

I've done a couple 2 stroke top ends, a turbo in an audi, clutch jobs on smaller trucks, rebuilt a 289 Ford mustang and transmission. Tons of other small jobs and repairs...I got this little dirt bike engine. Thank you again.. this has made me decide to do it myself. Lol just gonna take my time and go through everything no matter how long it takes. I'm gonna get it done right! 🙏

Ive had people tell me from 1 quart to .7 I personally stop at .7 and check the dip stick and fill up from there.

In your other oil change video, you pretty much put engine oil in your transmission. Was that on purpose?

Some people will put engine oil in the trans it works but later decided to go with hondas special transmission oil which I personally recommend over engine oil since the viscosity in the oil is different even though the running temperatures are similar in the engine and trans

Way to much oil your gonna blow your seals your supposed to keep the bolt out and fill the trans case up till it starts to trickle out and put the bolt back in snug it up then put your fill cap back on.

@@drewgtv1 I literally looked everywhere to find the exact specifications for the 450x and it says 900ml for Trans side an 750ml for engine fill side so you might be right after all buddy my CRF450r takes very little on the trans side
