Honda CRV Dash Lights Not Working - Fixed

hey everyone. I used bulb size 2721 from Sylvania. worked for me on a honda CRV 2006.

2005 CRV has (first, left side has no lights-complete dark) four bulbs not coming on after replacing all "74" bulbs and later tried & installed all ATG 74 LED bulbs. Still same results with bulbs & ATG bulbs. Tested with DMM and all bulbs are good and as well as LEDs. So what do you think it could be? Since I do not have service manual or wiring diagrams. Anyone knows one? I think it is the Fuse Multiplex PCB (near driver side panel, next to door) is defective. Again, anyone as wiring diagrams for instrument cluster to Fuse Multiflex PCB and well as radio/cd/tape/XM?

angelisone Most likely the multiplexer than. Check basics first like all fuses. Go with the cheap fixes first....fuses, bulbs and if your not getting power at the main plug than work backwards and check the multiplexer. Good luck. Mine was an easy fix.

@@sergiorodrigues9523 Yours was easy. That bulbs that burnt on your, mine was lit (after trying with all 11 bulbs then I got ATG LED (much & better light). You got diagram circuits of the instrument cluster to fuse/multiplexer that you can share?

angelisone LED bulbs may not work. You can try turning them 180 degrees but your going to drive yourself crazy with trying to get LED’s to work.

@@sergiorodrigues9523 I exchanged with known good bulbs as well as LED, only those 4 did not light up. I have used & still using ATG 74 LED on many vehicles without problem, provided if circuit is ok. It has no voltage on 4 lead sockets. Do you have a wiring circuit/schematic that you can share?

angelisone Sorry I don’t have a schematic. Check the wiring board circuits and look for any breaks in the vains. That’s the best I can offer.

take a flashlight (or phone) take out a bulb, and shine through the bulb hole and look if its the bulb needs replacement =)

Xiko Christensen that buld seems to be soldering with the cluster so far I know cause I did some research on that and it’s like soldering with the circuit board

@@thexflexclan that is ofc a big possibility depending on the year and make, my parents car has a non-working check engine light that is soldered aswell, 1thing is to change and resolder, maybe you should cheeck the price for a used 1 and get the taco dialed in?😊

Jose Perez good luck! In my case I had 3 burnt bulbs, but as I mentioned in the video make sure you check that first one especially. If all your lights went out at once, this is most-likely the cause. Let me know how you make out!

Unfortunately, this did not work for me. I swapped combination of Led/halogen bulbs with all new LEDs. Tried inverting polarity, according to manufacturers instructions. Not success. ALL indicators show at start. But no instrument panel lights. A/T "D" wasn't working, not all light with shift bar movement. No external or internal turn signal lights. External Hazard light functions but no instrument panel lights. Driver's side window switch auto up/down functions not working, I have to manually hold switch. Lastly, dashboard and radio would flicker quickly, when headlights were turned on. All fuses tested good. Maybe I need a computer reset?

@D S well, after a while, the mileage and speed odometer went out, so we had to replace the dashboard with a used one with a similar mileage reading. Problem permanently resolved.

When i turn on the headlights the dash turn off completly except the green arrows that turn on

@@juanchersdrums5101 I found out how to fix it. Rather than a fuse short out it actually shorted out something called a fuse multiplex it connected with the whole fuse box. You'll need to change the whole fuse box in order to fix that issue. I'm about to get that fixed. I went to the junkyard and got one for 25$
