Hey, the Del Sol had a D16Z6 (SOHC) and B16A2 (DOHC) both with VTEC, this Version is the D16 with 125 HP, the B16 has 160 :)

What's the Biggest engine the Del Sol came with? 160 hp or 196hp? Does anyone know?

Hey, the biggest engine for this model was the B16A2 with 160 hp.

@@jandu1237 Thanks for the Quick Response! I googled B16 and all the engines came up! I have a 95 Honda Del Sol S. #1 Can I put in the B16A3 in. I know it's basically same Power, as B16A2, but it redlines slightly higher. #2 I live in California. Do you know if it's Legal to put in a newer Engine / Bigger engine? I'm pretty sure I can since these engines came with this type of car...

@@jandu1237 Yes, it is Legal... especially the A3 for my car because it's Emissions / Fuel OBD-1 like my engine. Thanks though...

@@jandu1237 I've learned a lot more since our last conversation... the engine to easily swap is the B16A2 for my car... I also realized / learned we can put other engines in but we haver to get it Licensed / okay'ed by what's called a Referree... they essentially make sure everything is working the way it's supposed to be from lights, blinkers to, air bags, smog, to everything... if not they won't pass it! But you just have to fix it or adjust it etc... they can be sticklers meaning strict on the rules! For a year now I would Love to put a B18C5 Engine in it for the power and the sound and the RPM's... But those engines are super rare to find now...

It should be the same Engine, mine has the D16Z6 there was also a D16Y8 but the Power is the same.

@JD III Jr not all trims, si and vtec models had vtec. the s model didn't have vtec.

s model non vtec 90hp, si model sohc engine 125 hp vtec at 5500 rpm, sir model dohc engine 160 hp vtec at ???? rpm (revs higher -8000 rpm)
